Critical thinking is a process consisting of analysis and evaluation in order to solve problems and to make decisions. Exercises in these three workbooks help children develop their problem solving skills, logical thinking and reasoning, and visual thinking ability.
There are forty-two puzzles with a total of 504 challenging exercises in this three-workbook set!

miniLUK Brain Training
The miniLUK Brain Training series is similar to the bambinoLUK but is designed for an older child. Its controller board has twelve tiles in a high-quality plastic case with a transparent lid. These tiles are numbered from "1" to "12" and the activities are much more challenging. When children finish each exercise, they can check to see if the unique symmetric pattern on the back of the controller matches the one on the page.
Thinking Skills for Ages 6-8
The miniLUK Brain Training collections include workbook sets covering memorization, concentration, visual perception, logical thinking, linguistic skills, and basic arithmetic. For ages six to eight; produced by a secular company so some of the pages may not be suitable for your children.
Brain Challenger
The miniLUK Advanced Brain Challenger features complex brain challenges in a variety of workbooks. This series focuses on visual perception ability, higher-order thinking skills, and spatial relationships. All exercises begin easy but steadily climb from basic to more advanced and grueling, which is just what this age group is looking for.

I grew up on the MiniLuK system as this is a staple in Dutch primary schools. We always looked forward to the reward of working with these! The system is set up to be self correcting, which is a nice independence fostering feature, giving the kids confidence in their work... The tiles are solid plastic, easily cleaned and will last from generation to generation. The amount of different workbooks and subjects available with this system, make sure that your kids will never run out of things to learn and reinforce. I highly recommend all who homeschool to get this system. You will not regret it! You will need to add the controller tiles to this set for it to work!

A Perfect Challenge

This critical thinking pack is the perfect addition to our curriculum. I was looking for some kind of logic/thinking book and stumbled across this. We love it!! My daughter loves to play and asks for it frequently. I would definitely recommend this and plan on buying more.

We have bought many things through Timberdoodle, but your thinking games are the best! Our current favorite is the new Mini Luk Brain Olympics. My first grader is doing this in our homeschool, but many of the activities have been fun for Dad and the teenagers in the family to do!
