More About the LUK Learning System:

    Hands-On Thinking Skills Program
Young children are almost always hands-on learners. That is why your child picks up and touches everything. It may look destructive, but it is how God has programmed him to learn. And because at this age your child will learn more easily using this preferred learning style, we recommend adding a hands-on thinking program to any written curriculum, to add balance and success.

    Comprehensive Program for Ages 3-5
For this age group, the most comprehensive program is the bambinoLUK. The LUK learning system has been used in over fifty countries for more than forty years. Intended to maximize children's learning, bambinoLUK contains one easy-to-operate controller with six tiles housed in a transparent case and a number of different workbook sets targeting memorization, concentration, visual perception, logical thinking, linguistic skills, and basic arithmetic.

    Self-Correcting
The six large and sturdy tiles have a familiar picture symbol on one side and a colorful dotted pattern on the back. The decision to use symbols instead of numbers allows even very young children to play. When your child finishes the exercises in one of the books, he closes the lid and flips the controller. The colorful dotted pattern on the back will let him know if his answers were right.

    Also Builds Fine Motor Skills
Because this program requires the repeated handling of tiles, your child's fine motor skills are strengthened and his eye-hand and brain coordination are greatly enhanced. For ages three to five; produced by a secular company, so some of the pages may not be suitable for your children.

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2016 PreK Curriculum Kit!

  • Reinforces the following early childhood developmental skills:
  • Fine motor skills
  • Eye-hand coordination
  • Everyday knowledge
  • Visual perception
  • Concentration
  • Critical thinking
  • Beginning math

Fun way to learn! July 27, 2016
    Reviewer: E.E. from Cordova, TN
I bought the Bambino LUK Set A booklets and used them throughout the school year, even though my 4-yr-old daughter would’ve done them all within a week or two if I had let her! I usually had her do one or two pages at a time and then put it away for another day. I wasn’t sure what to start with, but I looked at the Level guide on the upper right of the cover and just started with the easier ones and used the more difficult ones as the year progressed. I was impressed that several of the pages really made her think and weren’t just a quick puzzle. Definitely a good purchase and increased how observant she was, as well as her sorting and comprehension. A great way to engage the mind while letting their hands do something physical!

I wasn't sure about this product.  It looked confusing to me and it was expensive.  But.. my daughter loves it and it makes perfect sense to her!  Glad we ordered it.

Not just a matching game! December 5, 2015
    Reviewer: Rebekah S.
I was initially hesitant to purchase this set because the How-To-Play video makes it appear to be a simple matching game. However, bambinoLUK is much more than that! Each workbook has a theme and the puzzles revolve around that theme. For example, one puzzle shows animals for the top part of the puzzle and the prints the animals make for the bottom half. The child then matches the animal to their print. There is a huge amount of variety to the puzzles! My 3.5 year old son really enjoys this. We call it "The Tile Game" because bambinoLUK just doesn't stick for him. :) The only drawback I'm seeing so far is that I'm not sure how much replay he'll get out of it. But, that's partly my son's personality. I really like that this is completely reusable for future children, and my 20 month old daughter already wants to play with the tiles. (She's a long way from ready for this, though.) Also, this particular set includes 8 workbooks. It's nice to be able to pace the introduction of new workbooks.

Fun, hands on learning... October 28, 2015
    Reviewer: Sarah T.
I have a 4.5 year old son and I was a little unsure of how challenging this would be for him. I would almost classify it as busy work for his age. Kind of like puzzles he knows how to put together, he can work on them without help and have a sense of accomplishment. The tiles are easy for him to set up and check on his own. The quality of the tiles and tray is great, seems very sturdy and the size is just right for little hands. The workbooks are great as well, thick pages that resist accidental ripping. The format for the workbooks is usually the same for all the books. The first half is simple matching, such as finding the exact same picture. It will then progress to finding the same picture but with something changed, as in the picture is flipped or you only see a portion of the picture. The part I really like is when children have to infer something, what made these tracks or what food will this animal eat. For younger children I feel like it might be something you would have to work with them to talk through but it would be great one on one time and fantastic for problem solving skills. It would be great if the company expanded on the workbooks including real photographs or more of the theme based learning sets. The only downside I found is that the tray does not "nest" over the workbook holding it in place, making it easy to slide around over the workbook while trying to solve the problems. This wasn't a big issue for us, I would just say mildly frustrating, but it may be a bigger issue for people with limited fine motor skills.
