Timberdoodle's review

Finally, a learning manipulative that is truly portable! Your children can use Wrap-Ups in the car, at the beach, at the doctor's office, or even during a home-school meeting; the possibilities are endless! Because of the portability of Wrap-Ups, they can be practiced anywhere. Wrap-Ups are excellent for drill-work. Challenge your children to complete a board in less than a minute before they start the next board.

Each set of Wrap-Ups contains ten self-correcting, joined-at-the-top boards (about 1 ¹/₂” x 5”), with a colorful, attached string. The string wraps around from the problem on the left to the answer on the right. If the answers are correct, the string will cover the lines on the back of the board.

This is a wonderful tool for visual and kinesthetic children, and if you encourage them to say the problems aloud, it is equally marvelous for the auditory child. Because it is self-correcting, your children will have immediate feedback for checking accuracy (plus, it takes you out of the picture as the bearer of “bad news”).

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2016 Second-Grade Curriculum Kit!

The set stays together with a rivet at the top.
A single string, already attached, makes them easy to use and organize.
Students wrap the string from the problem on the left to the answer on the right, and then turn the Wrap-Ups over to see if they got it right.
Use a stopwatch to measure improvement and to see how fast they can really go.

Wrap ups April 25, 2014
Reviewer: Janette H.
We bought four sets recently. Addition through division. My kids like them way more than flash cards and my husband and I find ourselves playing with them too! Learned I needed to brush up on a few of my division problems. Ahem. I never cared for math and several of my kids feel the same. However, they really do like playing with these and showing each other if their strings are lining up correctly! We would love to buy all the wrap ups. The only downside is we have a family of nine so it adds up. Definitely worth buying though!

A tactile way for facts January 14, 2013
Reviewer: aawzmom
What a great alternative to learning math facts. We try to incorporte our wrap ups 2x a week. The kids get tired of worksheets for math facts and this is a great solution. They can even self-check the answers on the back. We make sure they are wrapped up before we put them away otherwise the string gets knotted. We use the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

3 of our 4 boys liked them September 20, 2011
Reviewer: BlessedMomof4 from east of Seattle
3 of our 4 boys liked them - easy to take anywhere, no loose parts to get lost, quick and simple to use, no pencil and paper required. The odd-man-out? Not a big fan of Wrap-Ups because he'd much rather flip through flash cards or fill out nice and neat drill sheets.

A great tool for memorizing. April 19, 2011
Reviewer: Christine B. from NC United States
Our seven year old has had a difficult time understanding division and multiplication. This was a wonderful tool for doing drills that would enforce these concepts. She is now able to do these easily and is very happy to present me with a wrapped key that is completed. We would definately recommend this!
