Timberdoodle's review
Amazing Tool for Teaching the Alphabet
Because younger children learn best through hands-on activities, the more they can do, the faster they will learn. The Purpllinker is our most portable tool for teaching your children the alphabet.

Builds Small Muscle Memory and Fine motor Skills
Looking much like great-grandpa's old-fashioned carpenter's ruler, but smaller, softer, safer, and easier to maneuver, the child-friendly Purpllinker, with its seven arms, will hold its shape, allowing your child to create the entire alphabet. By forming letters with the Purpllinker, your child will be building small-muscle memory and fine motor skills.

Anything Your Child Can Imagine
Made of lightweight ABS plastic arms and aluminum rivets, the Purpllinker can also be used to make numbers, geometric forms, swords, snakes, and just about anything your child can imagine. Complete directions for forming letters and numbers are included with every Purpllinker. For ages three and older.

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2017 PreK Curriculum Kit!

    Purpllinker: A Timberdoodle Review
"...What I think about the Purpllinkers: I really like them! I think they are a wonderful educational and theraputic tool for young children. It is so important for young children to work on strengthening their small muscles in their hands. This helps tremendously when it is time for them to work on scissor skills and handwriting. I recommend the first few times your child plays with it, that you assist them. After a few times of playing with them, they should have no problem doing it on their own...Overall, this is a very fun tool! One that can have many positive impacts on childhood physical and cognitive development..."

It is really cool to make letters and shapes.  Do you know the a 'F' looks like a wrench?  Just remember to turn the arms and not pull them.

I don't love this as much as I thought I would. I thought we would use it with teaching letters, but it's too difficult to figure out certain letters, espcially with curves. Maybe if that wasn't my intended use I would like it more.

fun play now and learn later product June 7, 2016

my son loves to help daddy "build" and this reminds him of many different tools; with a little imagination this becomes anything he wants it to be.
at the moment he needs a little assistance with making particular shapes and or letters/numbers.... but, my son is only two, and he would rather run around measuring things with it or playing with it like a sword or kitchen utensil (in his play kitchen).
when i first purchased it i wasn't sure about the price; nevertheless, in my opinion, its worth it for play now and learning in the future! its a fun product.

Both of my children love all the shapes and letters you can make with this. If your child is hands on this is definitely for you!

    great product September 7, 2014

this is a great product. a little challenging for a 4 year old to make letters and shapes as the patterns recommend. it is a little hard to make the shapes because it is a little tight around the hinges, but i am hoping that may ease with more usage. otherwise, my girls love using it and it is a great tool for counting as well.
