This twelve-week curriculum comes with an easy-to-understand workbook with clear pictures and text, plus thought-provoking questions that will guide your child through a simple introduction to robotics. He will also have the opportunity to design and build his own robots using a geared motor for independent movement no programming required. Ollo Starter presents topics such as electricity, the center of gravity, the understanding of power, and the walking mechanisms of both two- and four-footed robots through lessons on science, technology, engineering, and math.

Very Well Done January 8, 2014
Reviewer: Suzanne D.
I think this program and the supplies are wonderful. My son bought this himself with some Christmas money and is working through the projects one at a time. I like the way it builds and challenges him along the way. The workbook is a good tool for getting him thinking about what he is doing and reinforcing what he is learning. He is 10 and it is a good fit and I think a great introduction to robotics. It is pretty expensive, but you can make quite a few projects with it. He wants to work through all the levels.

Great design - hard to put together. December 30, 2013
Reviewer: Jennifer W.
My son (6 years old) LOVES this robot set, however, I wish the rivets were designed differently. When he got frustrated trying to put the windmill together I also tried and found it difficult. Unfortunately, I will end up building the projects instead of my son simply because of how hard the rivets are to use. He can easily follow the instructions and answer all the questions. I was hoping this was something he could do completely independently. Pros - instruction book is great with easy to follow steps, asks questions so child has to think about the project, pieces are strong and sturdy. Cons - rivets are poorly designed, very small and difficult to use, tool is only good for disassembling pieces.

Fun, but Not Well Made November 28, 2013

My ten year old enjoyed this while it lasted. The motor burned out within a month. Too expensive for such a short run
