Do You Have a Young Child?
If you have a young child, My First BrainBox should be in your home. With 55 sturdy picture/question cards, it will be a game that can be used for many years, in many ways.

Springboard to Developing Observation Skills
For a very young child each charming illustration can be a springboard to developing fundamental observation skills. If you don't know what to ask, use the questions on the back as your basic starting point. And because most of the colorful illustrations in My First BrainBox are of familiar scenes, the next step would be to have your children study the picture and tell you a story about it. This develops their imagination and logic skills as they strive to make sense of the unknown.

Encouraging Visual Memory
Then, as your child matures, he will be ready to develop both his short and long-term memory, so challenge him to recall the details after he has studied a My First BrainBox card for 10 seconds. A die is rolled, and if your child can answer the corresponding question on the back of the card, the card is his. This will encourage his visual memory and even his auditory processing skills. You know how deficient young children can be in both arenas, and you will be hard-pressed to find another program that addresses these needed proficiencies in such an effortless manner.

Designed for Pre-readers and Beyond
Designed especially for pre-readers, there are no words on the fronts of the cards, just child-friendly images, so My First BrainBox is suitable for any child, even those as young as 3. My First BrainBox is a delightful way for your child to attain so many vital skills.

another wonderful tool! January 7, 2015

I purchased this for my 4 year old son but his brothers usually want to join in (8, 5, and 2). It is challenging and still enjoyable! The cards are thick and with a house full of boys I love a product that can take some wear!

    Love it! October 15, 2013

I am really glad that I purchased this. It's a fun, fast game for the whole family (Mom, Dad, 3 & 14 year old.) My 3 year old asks to play this almost every day and works hard studying the cards. I am going to get another set for him for Christmas and also a set for my 14 year old (she has requested the art box.)

    At first I wasn't sure, but... December 6, 2010

I bought this last spring and the first time we tried to play it I was surprised at how challenging it was and thought the questions were too hard for my four-year-old (or maybe even for me!)   I tried to modify the rules a little bit for her, but the experience wasn't very successful.  The game then sat in a box until about 2 weeks ago, when one of the kids discovered it and asked if we could play it.  I decided to give it another try with all my schooling kids, ages 9, 7, and 4.  This time we followed the rules and I was surprised at how well they did.  They really enjoyed the game and answered enough questions correctly that they didn't get frustrated.  I could tell that my 4-year-old was learning to pay closer attention to the details on the card.  I appreciated that the whole game could be played in 10 minutes.  This will definitely be a regular in the line-up of our homeschool games from now on!

Test Your Memory October 27, 2010

My kids enjoy My First BrainBox. It's just so simple, not like the other board games that drag on and on. You look at the picture until the time is up, roll the dice and answer the question. Some of the questions are tough. As my kids are looking at a card I try to coach them with questions like, "What color is the car? or How many animals are there?" I want to teach them what they are to be looking for and how to pay attention to details. The cards are colorful, but the artwork isn't great. The kids ask to play it and enjoy playing it. They also just like looking through the cards.

Fun for the right age group October 15, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Oberlin, OH United States
I think this is better as a Kindergarten (maybe older Pre-K) game, rather than a Toddler aged game.  It's just right for my almost 5-year olds.  They have a greater vocabulary and higher level of comprehension, so are better able to understand and answer the question correctly.  Some of the simpler questions are fine for Toddlers, but my youngest (age 3) would get very frustrated if she rolled the die and was asked a question she didn't understand.  It's very fun for the right age group.
