Timberdoodle's review
Montessori Map Work
The newest board book in the Montessori series, Montessori Map Work introduces preschoolers to the basics about the seven continents. Visually appealing, Montessori Map Work devotes two pages to each continent and includes some of the animals and/or birds native to that continent. There is also a textured outline of each continent for small hands to trace and suggested modes of transportation between continents for spatial context. The back cover folds out to show a simple map of the world and provide a satisfying preschool-size overview of geography.

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2017 Preschool Curriculum Kit!

Geography for little ones. November 28, 2015
Reviewer: Brittany
I bought this for my three year old as part of our preschool curriculum and we pair it with a inflatable globe to learn about the world. While she doesn't completely grasp the concept of how big the world is, she is starting to understand that the world is bigger than our house and our street. It's a great beginner geography book.

Great intro to the continents December 10, 2014
Reviewer: Azure W.
I bought this book because my daughter has been interested in the Montessori Numbers and the Montessori Alphabet book. I think this might be my favorite of the three. I always found the concept of continents hard for my little ones to grasp. The way that the book moves from one continent to the next, allows children to trace the continent with a textured outline, and introduces cute animals from each continent presents the topic in an easy and enjoyable way. It's been a requested book several times just in the few days since it arrived!

Geography fun! November 30, 2014

This sturdy book is a perfect introduction to maps and exploring the world! My soon-to-be-three year old loves this book. Her older siblings have been traveling in Europe and this book helps her understand where they are. She loves the animals and the fuzzy continents that she can feel with her fingers. I love that each continent is shown individually, but also on a world map. My husband loves that this book encourages travel.
