Montessori Letter Work
In the innovative, interactive board book Letter Work, your toddler will learn the sounds and shapes of each letter.

Montessori Style
Based on the century-old and highly successful Montessori way of teaching, chubby fingers will find these letters, with uber-fine sandpaper texture, irresistible for tracing.

Teaches Phonetic Sounds
Visually appealing and educational in every way, each Letter Work page features basic phonetic sounds; touchable, traceable letters; and an elegantly simple illustration to provide context.

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2016 Preschool Curriculum Kit!

Great for PreK too! October 17, 2016
Reviewer: LaurenK
I've been using this book with my daughter in PreK and she's learning a lot from it. She enjoys tracing and making the letter sounds. I highly recommend this book. Some people are bothered that the book isn't laid out A through Z but I used to teach Kindergarten in public schools and we didn't teach letter sounds in the A-Z order either!

Good but a puzzle may be better July 12, 2016

Got this for my 1-year old, but she hasn't really taken to it yet.  Maybe better for 2+. She has an alphabet puzzle that she loves learning her letters with instead. But the quality of the book is excellent though; it is definitely a good way to show parents how to teach the alphabet phonetically. LO is obsessed with animals sounds, so we treat letters the same way: they have a name and a sound!

My 2 year old got bored very quickly. November 14, 2015
Reviewer: Jennifer H.
Out of all the items in the preschool curriculum kit, these are probably our least favorite. The first couple times we read them, my son enjoyed touching the pages, but after that he was bored. Really dislike the way they arrange the letters. I understand that they are grouping by shape, but while he is actively learning his letters and the ABC song, this grouping is just confusing. I would recommend this for a toddler board book, not a preschool curriculum.

The book itself is very sturdy and my little one loves the texture of the letters! This is a great resource and I can see us getting a lot of use out of it!

Intro writing your letters! February 7, 2015
Reviewer: Kristina W.
My little girls love this book. After I read it to them several times, my daughter would sit and read it herself. She still can't completely write her letters (she's three) but she is getting a good feeling for the correct order of strokes in the letters, which I am really excited about after struggling with some of her older siblings' handwriting! :) The book is bright and colorful, as well as durable. I did get this one slightly damp, and it warped somewhat, but it's still completely usable. Overall, I would say this has been a hit with me.
