Timberdoodle's review

Perfect First Pencil for Children
Triangular shape to prevent rolling and to help children hold a pencil correctly - check. Not too fat, nor standard-sized, but mid-sized for both the chubby and arthritic hand - check. Soft dot comfort for a non-slip grip - check. Thick lead to hold a point longer - check. Nontoxic and CE-approved - check. Faber-Castell Jumbo Grip Pencil with its 3/8" diameter barrel is the perfect first pencil for children.

Perfect! August 27, 2015
Reviewer: Courtney
These pencils are fantastic! I do wish that they would include an eraser, as we can never seem to find one! We will continue to buy these for the next couple of years until my youngest no longer needs them!

Easy to use May 2, 2015
Reviewer: Stephanie
These pencils have an ergonomic shape which is perfect for small hands to grip. Due to the ease of manipulating these pencils my 4 and 7 year old adore using them. I like these pencils because my hands don't get tired using them. Not only can my children write for lengthier amounts of time but so can I.

Best thing since sliced bread! July 20, 2014
Reviewer: Kelly W.
Who knew that a pencil designed for little children could make such a difference? I purchased these pencils from Timberdoodle a few months ago and have been using them with my left-handed daughter. They make writing so much easier for little hands. I wish I could have found them a few years ago when I was teaching my oldest daughter to write. They are comfortable for little hands and they are shaped like triangles so that your hand has a place to rest when writing. I sometimes steal them from my daughters when I need a break from my regular pencil. I wish they came in patters and different colors. The grey is somewhat boring.

I am stealing this from my 2 year old ;) September 10, 2013
Reviewer: Genevieve
So these pencils came in my daughter's pre-k core curriculum and I picked one up to do my bible study when I couldn't find my pen and discovered this is the most comfortable writing implement I have ever used! I suffer from some arthritis, fibromyalgia and so on and writing with this pencil made writing pain free for the first time in a LONG time. My 2-year old is still struggling to have the desire to hold the pencil correctly, but it has survived several times of being thrown across the room without breaking--even the pencil tip. I am very impressed with these pencils, I couldn't understand how a pencil could cost so much, but I can see why and I am impressed!

Great Concept August 5, 2012
Reviewer: MT Mama
I really loved the concept of these pencils, but it became a pain to root around for an eraser when there was a writing mistake. I went to the store and found another company that makes the same exact thing, but with an eraser and the pencil itself is very soft. My children prefer that brand.
