Timberdoodle's review
Draw Patterns
Pattern recognition is an important developmental skill necessary for mathematical cognition and problem-solving. Now your child can become a pattern-making genius using Draw Patterns with Barroux.

From simple patterns of filling a face with chicken pox or water patterns around an island, to drawing rays from a roomful of light bulbs or adding suction cups to the octopusís tentacles. Culminating in scales on fish, argyle-patterned scarves on giraffes, and basket-weave blankets on dogs, this activity book offers a hands-on way to recognize, copy, and create patterns. The repetition of basic shapes and patterns brilliantly emphasizes how the same shapes can be used in several ways with very different results.

Once your child acquires pattern skills, it will surely have an impact on his own personal drawings. With a primary-color palette, casual watercolor style, and abundant white space, Draw Patterns provides a marvelous place for your childís doodling. While you can use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to complete each assignment, we favor the use of Gel Sticks for dynamic color and smooth application.

Incredible book. I initially bought July 20, 2014

Incredible book. I initially bought it because it was a summer 'daily deal,' and I am so glad I did! My son, age 5, has Aspergers. He struggles with math concepts, especially with a desire to do math. He opened this book and didn't even realize it was 'school.' It is enough color to be exciting but not so much to be overstimulating. It is creative and smart. I will definitely be buying more of these books in the future. Great buy and good price for item as well. Highly recommend.

Great, although better for a 4-5 yr old June 19, 2014
Reviewer: Jessica Y.
This is a good quality book, although not much of a challenge for my 6 year old son. My 3 year old little girl can some of it. I think it would be best for a 4-5 year old. Very cute and I'm still very happy to have bought it...I'll just tuck it away for a year and use it for a different child than originally intended.
