Construction and Spatial Logic
Spatial proficiency, especially the ability to correctly duplicate a model, is a vital skill that can only be grasped by practice. Block Builders, using six sturdy plastic blocks that open, close, flip, and stack, is a new dynamic program for introducing that necessary training.

50 Cards!
With Block Builders' fifty challenge cards and three levels of difficulty, your young builder will be asked to recreate the silhouetted structure on the front of the card using only the number of indicated blocks. As he works through the Block Builders cards, the exercises become increasingly difficult, with the most complicated level requiring fairly advanced logical analysis and spatial perception. Thankfully, exploded view answers are included on the back of the cards. Each Block Builders' card also contains interesting facts about famous design styles, architectural wonders, quotes by legendary architects, and more. For children five and older.
Features

Each Block Builders card contains fascinating facts! Famous design styles, architectural wonders, architecture terms, even quotes by legendary architects. Examples:

Turret: a small tower, usually starting at some distance from the ground, attached to a building such as a castle or fortress.

ArchiFact:
There are 403 steps from the foundation to the top of the torch in the Statue of Liberty. Lady Liberty was sculpted by Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi.

ArchiStyle:

    BLOCK BUILDERS ARCHITECTURE REVIEW
"...All of the parts are sturdy and will be around for a long time even in our household of six kids...Caleb (age 7) is sitting on the table with his big brother playing with Block Builders Architecture 3 as I type and he keeps saying “I did it Mommy!” and “Mom, Look at this!” Of course, as he plays he is learning to problem solve, think spatially, and balance objects with care. Fat Brain Toys always teach through play and that is a concept I love...."

    Family Favorite December 30, 2013

Really, I purchased this for my two children who have a spatial disorder, but it has quickly taken over as a family favorite. You can independently challenge yourself or do it as a team event. Even my teenagers like it! (OK - Mom does too!)

A building game to expand the brain August 9, 2013
    Reviewer: DaNae
My kids loved this when it came in the mail. My 6 year son finished all of the challenges within a few weeks. (The challeges got pretty hard at the end.) I even had to pace him. Otherwise, he would've done it faster. Then he lost interest, until many months later he asked to get it down from the shelf. My 4 year old likes it, but he just builds with his imagination. Which is great! Now my almost 2 year old wants to join in on the building. The one problem I have is that there are only 6 cubes. It requires teamwork or only one child can play at a time. I don't see that a big enough downfall to give only 4 stars.

    Fantastic! January 24, 2013

These blocks are great for encouraging problem solving and left-brained thinking. My child who excels at thinking outside the box loves these, and even though she's only three, she is able to do some of the more difficult challenges. However, my child who struggles to think outside the box really dislikes these, and finds difficulty with even the easy level cards. These are good practice for her though, and she is very proud of herself when she successfully replicates a card. They are also fun for free play! Overall I think it's a great tool, and I would definitely recommend them.

Best toy I've ever bought! January 16, 2013

I have been looking for ways to get my children thinking "outside the box". I have bought many workbooks in the past but the kids have never been too interested. When I saw these blocks & read the reviews I really wanted to try them but hated to spend the money afraid they, too, would fall by the wayside. Two months later, I decided to buy them...the entire family loves to play with these building blocks! My 6 year old is actually better at it than me now! Even dad gets involved :) By far the best toy I've ever bought...and they are learning such great critical thinking & spacial perception skills without even knowing it! Highly recommend

Review by Work and Play, Day by Day January 10, 2012

We loved the Architecture Block Builders and everyone should have a set.

The Architecture Block Builders by Fat Boy Toys, are a set of six hinged cubes.  Each cube is hinged in a different way.  The easiest way to describe them is like 3 dimensional pattern blocks.  There are then 50 cards with side views of various shapes to make.  On the back of each card is the solution and each card also has a cool fact about architecture design, terminology, etc.

We actually now have this toys on our school room shelf as a choice work for kiddos who finish their work early.  The six cubes are in a basket (shown above) and I punched all of the pattern cards and put them on a ring to keep them together.  Even Logan likes opening and closing the blocks.
