Timberdoodle's review

Big Bag of Science with Messy Science
Big Bag of Science is a huge collection of seventy child-friendly experiments that will have your child clamoring for "just one more." Admittedly, a dozen or so are of the fairly mundane, use-a-test-tube-to-watch-roots-grow variety, but there are over fifty intriguing experiments, like the unusual testing of your family members for the PTC gene.

For Younger Children and Older Siblings
Of course, when a science kit includes the immensely popular Insta-Snow, Quicksand Powder, Stretching Slime, Worm Goo, Garbled Marbles, and much more, you know you are in for a mess. But for younger children who want to touch science, and their older siblings who would rather see science in action than read about it, Big Bag of Science can be a joyous exploration of the mysteries and wonders of science.

Thirty-six Weeks of Eye-Popping Fun
Plus, with every purchase you will receive access to our exclusive Messy Science e-book download with thirty-six weeks of easy, hands-on experiments using this popular kit. The Timberdoodle-exclusive Messy Science e-book is a helpful coach, suggesting which experiments to do in which order, and giving a heads-up whenever concoctions from one experiment need to be saved for the next week. The Messy Science e-book works along with the Big Bag of Science experiment & instruction manual. Big Bag of Science makes an ideal "let's get dad involved" kit, or a delightful way for a teen to entertain a younger sibling while mom catches her breath.

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2016 Kindergarten Curriculum Kit!

Experiments include:
Make a blizzard of snow
Erupt a thirty-foot soda geyser
Find the iron in your breakfast cereal

Learn why you hate vegetables

    Great Kit January 13, 2016
    Reviewer: Linda
This has been the highlight of son's kindie year. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars in some instructions could have been a bit more thorough especially if you were to use the previous experiment. Some times it doesn't tell you right away and if you have used all of the product, you were out out luck TD Reply: Linda, thank you for bringing that up! Everyone who buys Big Bag of Science from us also gets our exclusive ebook, Messy Science, to help with that very problem. Since you have confirmed that you did not purchase this kit from us, you would not have received this very helpful ebook. Messy Science clarifies which order to perform the experiments in, and gives a heads-up any time that mixtures need to be saved and re-used in the next experiment. We too were frustrated by the unclear directions in the original Big Bag of Science manual, and that is why we added Messy Science to the kit. Thank you again for your honest and helpful review! - The Timberdoodle Team

We Love Science! September 15, 2015
    Reviewer: Beth W.
My five year old loves science. That has always been one of her biggest interests, and not a day goes by that she doesn't ask if we can "do science" that day. So far we have only done one activity in this kit - the Color-Changing Beads - but she was enthralled! She had to make a video to show her grandma, and she had the best time trying some theories with the beads. Would they be lighter in the shade than in direct sun? Would they stay bright if she held them in a closed fist, or would they fade? Could she look closely at the white beads and figure out what color they would become next time she took them out? All of these questions, and many more, she answered for herself through a probably 30-minute investigation she conducted on her own after school time was over for the day. I hope the rest of the activities hold her interest as much as this one did!

Easy, fun learning! September 14, 2015
    Reviewer: Tiffany D.
This science kit is recommended for the Kindergarten curriculum. My Kindergartner (5) and my Second grader (7) both join in on the fun. It's the last thing we do for the week and ends up being a special way to end our week. They both love the experiments and are learning so much. The instructions are easy to follow and gives opportunities to talk about what they think will happen followed by what they should have learned. After four weeks, it has worked out well to let two kids share responsibilities and work together to do the experiments.

Wonderful Bag of Science June 30, 2015
    Reviewer: Jessica G.
We ordered a custom kindergarten curriculum and once it arrived this was the piece that caught my children's eyes. Needless to say it was our first lesson out of all the curriculum ordered. The directions are simple and easy to follow and it gives easy to understand lessons on how the science behind each experiment works. This is a wonderful introduction to science that makes it fun.
