Timberdoodle's review
Literally Piece Together USA History
Wow, a geography puzzle with a history tutorial built in! The 4D Cityscape USA History Over Time Puzzle is a unique 4-D puzzle that enables you to incorporate the fourth dimension of time as you piece together the growth of the USA.

Layers Help Illustrate the Passage of Time
The first layer of the USA History Over Time Puzzle is made up of 806 cardboard pieces and details the territorial expansions that occurred from 1783 to the 1900s. The second layer is made of sixty-five pieces of dense foam, including mountain layers, that are assembled on top of the territorial expansions. Follow the included time poster to assemble and learn the sequence and dates of statehood. This layer presents the United States as we currently know them.

Puzzle Includes 3-D Historical Buildings and Monuments
Finally, and probably a universal favorite, is placing USA History Over Time Puzzle’s ninety-three 3-D historical buildings and monuments in the puzzle in the order that they were constructed. First snap the pieces free from their plastic bases. Then, using the 4-D Cityscape Time Poster, match the piece to the picture of the model, locate the correct placement on the puzzle, and insert the model into the foam base.

Watch History Unfold Before Your Eyes
Models include The Alamo, Fort Gibson, Hoover Dam, and many more. Fun, challenging, educational, and memorable, the 4D Cityscape USA History Over Time Puzzle allows your entire family to see the defining moments in history unfolding before your very eyes!

Note: While the manufacturer suggests this puzzle is best for ages 14+, we have found that any child with experience doing puzzles with a similar number of pieces will enjoy it. And even an inexperienced 10- to 12-year-old will find that his patience pays off as the impressive puzzle comes together!

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2017 Sixth-Grade Curriculum Kit!

    Fun! May 28, 2014

I bought the History over Time puzzle so we could learn more about landmarks and where they were located. We paired it with America the Beautiful. My children 5,7,9,11 enjoyed doing it. I liked how the first layer is tiny pieces but the second layer the pieces are bigger so the little ones could help. It also has 93 monuments and buildings to attach to the puzzle. We learned alot and had fun.

This puzzle was a lot of fun to put together. If you take the time to do it in order like the directions suggest, it's also educational! It was supper fun to see how many monuments and historic sites we knew, and how many we've been to. Great family time activity!

Much More Than I expected!! January 15, 2013

This is an amazing puzzle! I bought this to supplement US geography for my kids and it has ended up teaching me geography! We are still completing the first layer and it is incredibly challenging. I appreciate the fact that this isnt a puzzle that will be done in one afternoon but is more of a "project". Everyone who walks by the table can't help but stop and work on it for a bit! Definately a puzzle to be made permanent after completion.

I purchased this for a family gift for Christmas. My husband, two children (ages 16 and 14), and I worked on it together with great success. It was a highlight of our day. Educational, great directions, unique design, and aesthetically pleasing result. Highly recommend!

    So cool... January 14, 2013

This has got to be the best puzzle ever. My 7 year old was so excited to get this for Xmas. He took it out and started pointing out things. "Mom, look it has the Arch!" How cool is that. I love when I can add things to our school that emphasizes what they already know but can add even more knowledge. This is a great fun and just supper cool puzzle.
