Timberdoodle's review

Let's See!

This very cool model is incredibly realistic. After your child has assembled the 35 pieces, open the sclera and the cornea and observe the details. A magnifying lens used as the eye lens gives you a view that, until now, only your ophthalmologist could see.

Note:This is probably the most difficult puzzle that we sell. It is a jewel for illustrating the many layers and incredible complexity of the eye - but it is not quick and easy to assemble. Imagine the accomplishment though, when you get the last piece in place and marvel together at the wonders of God's design!

About 3D Puzzles:
Enthusiasts of these startlingly lifelike puzzles are multiplying rapidly and it is no wonder why. These ingenious, museum-quality puzzles have been highly recognized for their authenticated look, meticulous finishing, and fastidious painting.

Originally sold as 4-D Puzzles, the fourth "D" denoting the "detailed" aspect to the three-dimensional puzzles, not only is the company undergoing exponential growth but so are the knockoffs. Don't settle for the cheaper versions, they will cause your child nothing but grief.

Each one of these puzzles can be put together and pulled back apart countless times, which is perfect for families with many children. They do contain small parts that can be a choking hazard for younger children, but children six years and older will spend hours learning while doing.

Please Note: This is the most complex 3D puzzle we sell, and requires some fussy work to put it together. The model is fascinating, and worth the effort - but in our opinion it is way too intricate for a seven year old - the company's recommended beginning age.

Fascinating and tricky August 8, 2013
    Reviewer: Satisfied customer
This is a tricky puzzle that requires patience, deduction, and coordination. My 8-year-old and I had trouble putting it together, so I tried after the kids went to bed. Much better. It comes with directions that are difficult to follow, but now that I've done it once, I can guide my kids while they do it. Perseverance and thoughtful deduction pays off! When I finished it (took about 45 minutes the first try), I felt quite the sense of accomplishment. The pamphlet that comes with it gives the definition and purpose of all the parts. I think it's a good puzzle!

    Challenging puzzle October 3, 2011
Reviewer: Laureen Eichelberger from N. Huntingdon, PA United States
These puzzles are challenging to put together, but a great hands on view up close and personal.  We used them alongside the Apologia Anatomy and also with the Precepts Biology course. Not for little ones, too many pieces.

Not very impressed December 4, 2009
Reviewer: Amy Fitzpatrick from Quincy, IL United States
We are not impressed with the quality of this puzzle.  We get something put together and it just falls apart.  We've done other puzzles made by other companies, and they stay together when you put them together.  I won't buy this brand again.

    3-D Eyeball Puzzle July 10, 2009
Reviewer: Mary  Feris from Fort Worth, TX United States
This is a very neat puzzle.  It is difficult.  My six year old put it together all by himself.  I tried to help him but lost patience.  It took him half a day.  We will be purchasing another one.  He wants the heart next.
