20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Scientist Pierre Aronnax and his trusty servant set sail to hunt a sea monster. With help from Ned Land, the world's greatest harpooner, the men soon discover that the creature is really a high-tech submarine. To keep this secret from being revealed, the sub's leader, Captain Nemo, takes the men hostage. Now each man must decide whether to trust Nemo or try to escape his underwater world.

Fantastic for slower readers January 14, 2013

This was fantastic for our slower reader. It moved him into "higher level" literature without the pressure of feeling unable to meet the reading requirements.

Older Kids Like This November 27, 2012
Reviewer: MamaSon
Great way to introduce this book to young people. My kids really like the movie. I picked up the real book many years ago, and at the time didn't think it was suitable for little ones. I think that I will pick it up and try read the original to the kids since they are familiar with the story. Great idea.

Great way to read the classics October 25, 2011
Reviewer: Julie from Japan
While I want my kids to read the classics as they were meant, this is just totally fun and cool. My 8 year old loves all the graphic novels we have bought so far. They are a great way to show how a book can be brought to life comic book style. They are easily read in a short time, but leave the reader with a different perspective of the book. My daughter enjoys rereading them, as well, so they are worth the money for me that the cover is looking quite worn! We plan on getting into the science ones next!!
