Don't Wait For A Perfect Microscope, We Regret That
For more than twenty years we have dreamed of adding a quality microscope to our home and ultimately to our catalog. While battling all manner of animal illness on our small farm, we thought longingly of how a microscope could have given us answers without another costly vet call. Spoiled by what we had used in college and wanting to own only the best, we watched for sales at the local university and continued to dream. The ideal scope at the ideal price never happened. Don't make the same mistake that we did. Some of our older children never knew what it was like to compare sugar and salt under a scope or investigate the variety of hair shafts from all the different animals we have owned. They never studied a feather or examined the creepy crawlies that live in the animal troughs. There is a whole dimension of God's creation they have missed out on. If your budget allows for a medical-grade microscope, praise God. But if it doesn't and you want your children to get a glimpse of how God is in the details, the new USB-powered zPix 200 Digital Microscope may just be what you are looking for.

Display On Your Computer Monitor, And Capture Pictures Or Video
This is a digital zoom microscope that displays the magnified image right on your computer screen. The impressive 26x-130x-zoom magnification is ample for budding scientists, able to reveal details of ordinary objects they never knew existed. They can capture an image using the built-in 1.3-megapixel resolution digital camera or they can even capture close-focus video.

An Award Winner
The zPix 200 Digital Microscope has garnered four prestigious awards in recent months, including being named as a winner in Dr. Toy's "10 Best Educational Products" for 2007. Reasonably priced, this microscope delivers satisfactory performance and allows for compact storage. Give your child one more opportunity to praise God's creative brilliance.

This is awesome! June 1, 2012
Reviewer: tlt
I bought this item a few years ago. I couldn't afford a good traditional type microscope. We love this one. My son especially. He is 15 now and still uses it. His latest "close up" look was at a large splinter he removed from his finger. One feature that I really like is that not everything you want to view has to go on a slide. Just place the lens on the object.

I can see with this one. March 28, 2011
Reviewer: Jennifer from Greensburg, LA United States
I have worn glasses with different lenses for most of my life and have difficulty focusing through a typical microscope lense. With this, my children and I all see the same thing on the computer screen. My 6 year old doesn't completely understand and calls our old microscope the "real" one.

I can't believe what this does for the price. August 17, 2009
Reviewer: Angela S. from New Richmond, WI
I can't believe what this does for the price.  Now, the whole family can see on the computer screen what is on each slide.  Pictures and video can be taken and edited.  We had a little trouble with the software at first, but the Carson website and tech support was very helpful.  Well worth the money considering what a standard microscope costs.  This does so much more.
