Children who can think logically will astound you with their perceptions of life. Not yet savvy to the constraints of societal protocol, they will see everything as black and white. It is an amusing, exhilarating developmental stage, but it will not happen without effort on your part. Zoologic is a wonderful teaching aid for introducing your child to logic.

Young children will always find logic easier to comprehend when taught using familiar items and already-understood relationships. Zoologic capitalizes on this by asking players to position dogs, cats, mice, fish, bones, and cheese tiles, keeping in mind the rules of nature. In beginning puzzles, rivals cannot be placed next to each other or beside their favorite foods. At more advanced levels, additional constraints are added to increase the challenge.

With 60 escalating levels of difficulty, children will learn logic, problem-solving, and spatial relationships in this exceptional solitary puzzle game. For ages 4 - 12; maybe a bit younger if your child would not be tempted to swallow the tile pieces.

My four year old son recieved this as a birthday present and we have loved it! He has enjoyed this as independent play as well as with adults. The graphics are cute and the instruction book has a great layout for correcting yourself. The progression of the patterns really helps to produce reasoning skills and logical thinking. Another fabulous Timberdoodle product!

Very Fun June 2, 2011

Zoologic is a very fun game for a kindergarten or first grade child. It not only test logic, but memory as the child has to remember the rules. The puzzles start out very easy and your child might wiz through them, but they do get harder and the highest level might require perseverance over several days. The book gives answers and clues. The tiles are small and the parent wil have to make sure that they don't get lost. I would have liked a $12-$15 price range, but I would buy it again at the current price because my kids have enjoyed the game so much.

Perfect Logic Introduction April 27, 2011
Reviewer: Danae Huck from United States
I bought this game, intending to use it with my 5 year old daughter next year when she began 1st grade.  As soon as I opened it she was intrigued and wanted to know how to play.  I briefly went over the rules and then put the game away.  Later that day I walk out to find her playing the game on her own.  She has made it through the first half of the puzzles all on her own time - and she is loving it.  She does not even know that she is learning!  They are definitely starting to become more challenging half-way through, which will allow this game to last for several more years.  I like how simple the concept/rules are as it makes it easy for a child to relate to and understand them.  I bought several other games for school at the same time, and this is the only one she has pulled out on her own time.  This is a great introduction to completing logic problems and is a game that every family should have.

Good independent game April 27, 2011
Reviewer: Jennifer Schneider from Rhinelander, WI United States
This is a fun game for the kids to play independently when they have some down time by themselves.  It's an easy game to learn, but the strategy keeps them interested!  I like how the puzzles slowly increase in difficulty level.  I like how all of our kids (ages 6 to 15) are able to do some levels and work until they are challenged.  It's been something fun that sits on our shelf and is continuously pulled out over the year because the child wonders if NOW they might be able to figure out that puzzle that stumped them last time.  Great gift giving idea!
