Timberdoodle's review
It is exceedingly difficult to find a single-player language arts game that isnít thoroughly lame. Yottsugo, however, is the coolest spelling/vocabulary game available for both aspiring wordsmiths and children needing motivation to develop those skills. Choose a challenge, find the necessary sixteen interlocking lettered tiles, then organize the letters into a four-by-four grid consisting of eight words. Clues are in an envelope that unfolds like a bit of origami to reveal several layers of hints if your child gets stuck. The entire concept of providing the player with access to several different levels of clues gives them the appropriate amount of help at just the right time.

There are forty such envelopes, ordered by degree of difficulty. Though Yottsugo is designed as a one-player puzzle for ages 12 and older, it is such an engrossing game that you may find many children drawn in to help solve each puzzle. Tackle one a week and give your familyís language, thinking skills, and reasoning muscles a workout. Yottsugo consists of fifty-five sturdy plastic letter tiles, forty challenge clue envelopes, and complete instructions.

    VERY Challenging! January 14, 2014
    Reviewer: Tina B.
I LOVE word games of all kinds, and this is no exception. Problem is that right from the beginning it is almost impossible to get correct without at least the first set of clues. The tiles are nice and big, and the younger kids love giving me the correct letters for the puzzle. Nice container and interesting form of having a folder for each puzzle. Would purchase again as well as recommend it to other word nerds!
