In searching for a more meaningful way to celebrate Christmas with our children, I came across Noel Piper's book on family traditions. It has helped me to understand the biblical why's of incorporating traditions into the fabric of family life, and goes a step further with several practical (and interesting!) how-to's from her own family history.
I find I use it year-round, because the book covers so many more holidays than just Christmas, and even has several suggestions for birthdays.
What I love most about this book, though, is not the abundance of ideas on how to celebrate these important days, but her God-centered and God-honoring approach.
