Timberdoodle's review

Usborne Big Drawing Book
By following the very simple step-by-step directions in this beginning drawing book you can draw hamsters in cages, tractors and sheep in the field, and dragons attacking a castle. Not fans of mermaids or fairies, we’ll skip those pages in favor of learning to draw crocodiles living in the swamp and hungry, spiky dinosaurs. Unique among beginning drawing books, the Usborne Big Drawing Book includes a rare combination of drawing instructions on themed pages, so your finished drawings look right at home in the cheery designs. What a perfect first drawing book for kindergarteners. Includes nearly 50 two-page activities.

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2016 Kindergarten Curriculum Kit!

Such a great idea! January 20, 2015
Reviewer: Catherine E.
I remember books similar to this when I was in grade school, and I always liked them. I love how they break down an animal (flower, etc) into small pieces/shapes, showing your child how to create them on their own. My almost 5 year old loves that she can make almost perfect snails, lady bugs, bees, etc!

The Usborne Big Drawing Book September 29, 2014
Reviewer: Scarlett M.
This is a great book. We are using as part of my 4 year old's Kindergarten curriculum. He does enjoy it but it is challenging for him. He will usually only draw one of the pictures a day even though it says to draw multiples.

Great for learning to draw July 30, 2014
Reviewer: Kristen
This is such a neat book with fun animals, flowers, etc. for kids to learn to draw. Our 4 year old has been able to look at the step-by-step instructions by herself and draw the items. The book is very colorful and sturdy. The pages are set up so kids can practice drawing each animal multiple times in a picture. (ex. draw the bug on all the large leaves) We practice on plain paper first and then she draws on the actual pictures. I am not an artist so I really appreciate the easy instructions!

Cute Drawing Book June 19, 2014
Reviewer: L M.
We've only done a few "lessons" in this so far, but my daughter is super excited when we do it. She's a girl who spends time daily drawing/coloring, so I expected that, but I like the way the book is set up too. They have step by step pictures to follow and pretty, colorful backdrops for her pictures. It's a nice book and I'm happy with the purchase.
