The Discovery of T. Rex
From the Stories From History series, The Discovery of T. Rex explores the fascinating excavations, disagreements over and confiscations of the T. Rex. This book is presented in a fast-paced, edgy graphic novel format including bright, action-packed scenes.

An Academic Rivalry
Since its discovery in 1902, this huge beast has caused public scandal and outrage, pitting scientists against each other in a battle over the most famous dinosaur of all time. The Discovery of T. Rex is sure to capture any reader's attention and turn even the most casual reader into a history buff!

Please note:
This book is not written from a young-earth perspective so it does make statements such as, "This huge beast lived 85-65 million years ago..." A touch of white out and/or some clarifying discussion can easily rectify that!

Tales from the past meet modern-day storytelling! Epic battles, secret plots, and brave warriors await readers in the nonfiction Stories From History Graphic Novel series. T. Rex October 26, 2010

The discovery of T.Rex is very interesting.  It gives a good overview of the finding of the dinosaur bone and the situations surrounding that. You do need to be aware that tis book does mention "millions of years ago," that that is not the topic of the book and could be fixed with a marker or a discussion of Biblical truth.  This book will give your child a better understanding of what was involved in finding the bone and actually piecing them together.
