Active Baby, Healthy Brain: 135 Fun Exercises and Activities to Maximize Your Child's Brain Development from Birth Through Age 5 1/2
Babies crave more than a meal and a cuddle. They are eager, voracious learners and many new parents are just as enthusiastic to start homeschooling their baby, but don't know where to start.

Active Baby, Healthy Brain is the most practical handbook for all parents enthralled with every aspect of their baby's intellectual and physical development. It is simple and to the point, with ideas that are quick and easy to implement. Each activity is presented with detailed, step-by-step instructions, and the appealing illustrations help to make everything crystal-clear.

And while the overall tone is one of having fun with your baby -- and you will -- the author makes sure you understand the crucial connections between the activities and the development of your baby's body and brain. You'll also learn how to incorporate toys, music, and games in your baby's day. Active Baby, Healthy Brain is divided into eight specific, age-appropriate sections ranging from newborn to age five-and-a-half. Busy parents will cheer when they hear that no single activity takes more than two minutes, and all that's required is ten minutes a day. How easy is that?

Perfect start to homeschooling June 2, 2012
Reviewer: Rhonda
I bought this (along with the peanut ball) for a friend's baby shower and these books were a hit. They are comprehensive, easy, and allow parents to give their baby a good start on academic and physical development without stress. Most suggested activities take only 5-15 minutes per day. The activities in the Healthy Baby book are especially good for dads to do with babies when they return from work and can be very helpful with bonding. I would recommend this to friends and will likely purchase it again in the future for more baby showers.

Lots of information October 10, 2011
Reviewer: Emily from Vancouver, WA United States
These books contain a TON of information, and could keep you busy working this your baby/toddler for hours everyday.  For busy moms, also homeschooling older children and with other responsibilities as well, it was a little too "do it yourself" and time intensive.  The books suggest lots of make at home toys and activities, if you have the time and interest; and the Active Baby book has long lists of things you should/could do with your infant daily.  I found it to be rather unrealistic, and also, a repeat of a lot of what happens naturally in play and interaction with my kids.
