Our children love this Latin program. They look forward to our Latin class each week. We keep the accompanying CD in the car and it is one of the most requested CDs by them for us to play. They have quickly learned and retained the information. I have recommended this to text to all our friends learning Latin. I hope they will develop additional books.

Even my 2 year old joins in and loves it |

Song School Latin has definitely been one of our great finds for introducing Latin to younger children. Song School Latin is great for children ages 5-8 but even my 2 year old joins in with the songs and loves it. Song School Latin takes a sometimes boring subject such as Latin and helps young children to remember the words and meaning with catchy familiar tunes that all young children will recognize. I find though that the Teacher's Manual is not necessary and is just a copy of the student workbook. It can be helpful though if you want your own book to look at.

All ages (even parents!) can benefit from it |

Song School Latin is a GREAT introduction to Latin course!! The program introduces everyday words and phrases chapter by chapter through the text and included CD. The CD contains both classical and ecclesiastic pronunciations so that you can pick which you want to use. The CD is WONDERFUL! The songs are catchy, but not annoying, and you can't forget the Latin because of them :) The book is geared toward elementary age and below, but all ages (even parents!) can benefit from it. I HIGHLY recommend Song School Latin as an introduction to Latin. It gets kids interested in Latin by using Latin in everyday settings (immersion) and it lays a great foundation for future Latin studies.

My older sons had been studying Latin, but it was too difficult for their little sister (1st-2nd grade) who nonetheless wanted to participate. This product was perfect for her. She loved the music and the easy introduction to Latin vocabulary. We did not purchase the teacher's edition, but have not had any problems using the workbook alone. It is easy to implement, fun and only takes a few minutes a day.

Song School Latin is a gentle, enjoyable introduction to Latin for younger children. The lessons are well-thought out and require no preparation for the parent. The CD is like a right arm for the homeschooling mom and helps both mom and child to learn the material more quickly and easily. Song School Latin can be followed by Latin for Children, which continues to teach Latin creatively, thoroughly, and enjoyably.
