Making Noise to Develop Oral Motor Skills
You may feel giving a child with no sense of propriety a noise maker is just crazy, but research has proven that the oral motor skills that are developed are the same ones used for eating and speech. Schylling Ambi Trumpet exercises your baby’s facial and oral muscles and encourages his deep and controlled breathing. It also offers auditory feedback, and can enhance both language skills and rudimentary understanding of cause and effect.

Colorful PVC-free Plastic
Made of high quality, brightly-colored, recyclable PVC-free plastic, the colorful Schylling Ambi Trumpet features a sturdy grip handle and two different blow-holes, each producing a distinctive sound. Perfect for the tiniest musician in your family!
  • Blow to toot
  • 2 different sounds from 2 different places to blow
  • Blow from the top or from the end
  • Measures 5.5" x 3"

My son LOVES this trumpet! February 24, 2013
Reviewer: Hey Mom! Hey Mom! Look, Mommy!
My son is 1 and it took him just a few minutes to figure out how to annoy his sisters with this crazy little trumpet! Is it loud? Oh yeah. Is it obnoxious? Yup. Does my little guy love it more than he has ever loved a toy in his life? You betcha! I could hide it or give it away, but you know what? He really enjoys it. I can smile because he's laughing and I can laugh because his pesky big sisters can't stand it. (Until he puts it down. Then they fight over it!) Not a bedtime toy, but during loud play time/outdoor time, I let him go crazy with it. Glad this came in our curriculum kit.

    Has a nice sound January 15, 2013

I bought this with the baby curriculum. My 14 month old can't really do it well yet, she sometimes gets a sound out. It's not hard to blow, she just doesn't get it yet. :) She likes to hold it though and hear the older children play it for her. It's not as annoying as I thought it would be. It's a kazoo sound, not too loud.

    Super Fun January 15, 2013

If you want LOUD you've got it! This trumpet is perfect for little people. It's a wonderful first instrument and teaches the super important mouth formation and skill of blowing. While we bought this toy for a younger child, with my year's of teacher training I can see it being very beneficial for children who struggle with speech and language development. The cause and effect of this toy is perfect for children of many ages!

Love, Love, Love! January 14, 2013

Our 17 month old daughter loved this from the start! We got it with the "Baby Core Curriculum" and as soon as my husband took it out of the package, she surprisingly knew just what to do with it. It is nothing flashy or grand just a small trumpet that, we found out makes two different noises :) (if you blow in the top blue part it makes a different noise than the correct way of playing it!) This little trumpet is a great addition to our 'music basket' and we love it!
