One way to learn elements, molecules, and the periodic table is through tedious memorization, but that would be like putting the school back into home-schooling. That's not why we are here, and it's not why you're teaching your children. What we hope to accomplish in all areas is to give children the thrill of the hunt, an insatiable hunger to learn all they can about this incredible world God has created.
Reaction is a game that is easy enough for an 8-year-old, with "take-home" information that teens and adults will find invaluable. Reaction includes the first 36 elements on the periodic table, along with a few extra elements like silver and gold. Additionally, you get wild cards and multiplier cards to build complex molecules. The rules are easy to follow; build the most molecules from the element cards you hold in your hand to score the most points. A useful chart is included so no one has to be a science geek in order to play.
After a few hands, your children will intuitively begin to recognize some of the more common molecules. As time goes on they may find themselves creating more obscure molecules, just because they can. Reaction includes the following high-quality components: 100 playing cards, game instructions, and a helpful chart of common molecules.
Reaction, The Game of Molecules, is a card game that lets you flex your intellectual muscle. Science geeks and regular folk alike will enjoy Reaction's fast pace and competitive spirit, along with the high-quality components.
Players take turns drawing cards until they can create molecules from the element cards in hand. When a player can build a molecule, they lay it out in front of them on the table. Opponents can add onto the molecule to turn it into a different molecule, or they can destroy it with a Bunsen Burner card.
To win, be the first to build the most molecules from the element cards you hold in your hand, and score the most points. It's that simple!
