The Wordigo board game has been a big hit at our house, both with the parents (who play after the kids go to bed) and the kids (ages 6 and 9). More challenging than Scrabble and harder than it looks at first, Wordigo is a stretch for our 6-year-old, but she can play with a little help. Both the kids enjoy the game, although we set the timer for a longer period for their play. A big bonus for us is the scoring. Since the vowel tiles are multipliers, you get math practice with addition and multiplication along with more obvious spelling and strategy benefits. Wordigo is one of our family's favorite word games, and we are definitely a family of game players! We've just ordered the CD-based game and look forward to playing it solo in addition to family time with the board game.
