While a mere 32 pieces, it was challenging for the entire family and remains one of our favorites today. There are many torso models currently on the market, but none are as demanding. Put this together a couple of times and you will definitely know your basic internal anatomy! The finely-detailed sculpturing with hand painted parts ensures that this puzzle is up to medical school quality. Not quite five inches tall when assembled, so fine-motor skills are a must, but even the youngest child will enjoy studying the various components and their placement. For those who want to know, a bladder is depicted but there are no gender-related details. About 3D Puzzles: Enthusiasts of these startlingly lifelike puzzles are multiplying rapidly and it is no wonder why. These ingenious, museum-quality puzzles have been highly recognized for their authenticated look, meticulous finishing, and fastidious painting. Pocket-sized puzzle February 20, 2009 Reviewer: Tabitha G. from Altoona, IA United States   This little anatomy puzzle has been a welcome addition to our science curriculum.  It provides a perspective on the human body that cannot be achieved through two dimensional/paper illustrations, and it is being extremely portable.  The entire model with instructions fit in a sandwich bag which is great for storage. Fun, educational product October 30, 2008 Reviewer: Anne Olson from Helotes, TX United States   My 6 year old and I love this little puzzle. It's not too hard to figure out and was quite enlightening as to what organs go where and how big they are relative to others. I recommend this product October 23, 2008 Reviewer: Erin B. from Potter Valley, CA   My fourth, sixth, and eighth graders really enjoyed this puzzle.  The parts are small and it is a little tricky to get it together, but it is a positive challenge rather than a frustration. The model requires a teacher's input to really be a learning aid, as there is no description of anatomy included.  A booklet identifying the parts of the body and maybe giving an overview of their functions would be helpful.
