Even when our children were young, we never felt the basics were complete unless we spent comparable time working on thinking skills. Building Thinking Skills Primary is a program that all five grew up with before it went out of print for a season. Not an inexpensive program, but it will do what no other program will, it will introduce your tiny child to a lifelong ability to think. This program uses reproducible pages emphasizing hands-on activities employing Attribute Blocks, Pattern Blocks, and Cubes. With these manipulatives your child will build a foundation of the analytical skills of similarities and differences, sequences, classifications, and analogies. After a preliminary activity with the blocks or cubes, the activity sheets provide an opportunity to combine pictorial and manipulative formats. We have found this to be an outstanding introductory program for children from 3-6 years of age, and it is especially terrific for the child who learns best by doing. Totally non-consumable, the program requires the Primary Book, Cubes, Attribute Blocks and Wooden Pattern Blocks. Primary Book is reproducible for home use only.
