Naked Eggs and Flying Potatoes Gets High Marks! October 3, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Ellsworth, IA United States
We recently began doing the experiments  from "Naked Eggs and Flying Potatoes", and it is a highlight of our day!  I have homeschooled 3 kids for 14 years and have tried many "science experiment" books.  This is definitely the best by far.  The experiments are clearly explained and actually work.  We were so excited when we actually were able to isolate the iron from our breakfast cereal so that it was visible!  I appreciate how Spangler adds advanced material to most lessons.  For example he gives the actual chemical formula for the chemical reaction that takes place in the naked egg experiment.  Even though my son won't take chemistry until high school, this was an awesome introduction to the subject.  I highly recommend this book!

    Fast results! October 3, 2011

I hadn't heard of Steve Spangler until we purchased this book. Wow! The book has lots of pictures with each experiment. After we did the first experiment, the kids took the book and tried several experiments on their own. The book has inspired extra experiments of their own, because of the lessons learned. The supplies that you need are not expensive and easy to get.You wont be keeping this book on the shelf. Highly recomended!

Still provides hours of enjoyment for my children September 7, 2011

My son asked for this book for his 12th birthday and says it was one of the best gifts he ever received. He does experiments out of it all the time. I have had many science experiment books around the house for years, but my children never took an interest in them like this one. My kids, 10, 12, and 14 are always trying something new out of this book and calling us in to see their amazing new find. They have the best fun with it! They are able to do most of the experiments on their own with things that I really do have around the house. I can't say enough good about it! I am planning to buy another copy or two to give away as gifts.

Really great science book! November 15, 2010
Reviewer: Misty Marr from Buckeye, AZ United States
Naked Eggs and Flying Potatoes is really one of the best science books that I have seen!  The author is very enthusiastic about what he is teaching and obviously enjoys it. The variety of experiments is outstanding and the pictures are great!  I like that he does "just" explain how to do the experiment, but he walks you through figuring out the how and why behind it.  This book is a keeper and should be in every home school family's library. You won't regret buying this one, for sure!
