My ABC Bible Verses: Hiding God's Word in Little Hearts is an incredibly rich book. Written for 3-to 7-year-olds, it simplifies profound spiritual truths without compromising accuracy. Each letter of the alphabet has a corresponding Bible verse and is accompanied by stories of two children to illustrate the scriptural passage. The children's behavior and subsequent consequences tend to be too good to be true, but I would far rather hold up to my children a lofty ideal than have them aiming at a lower standard. Memorizing Scripture underscores all the stories, what a treat. This Biblically solid title is perfect for family devotions.

Hiding the Word in Our Hearts January 15, 2013
Reviewer: Meredith the Home Educating Mama
What a sweet book this is! It was engaging to a variety of ages when we went through it as a family. The pictures are bright and colorful for the littlest ones and the verses are do-able for memorizing...even for the sleep deprived mama! I loved the repetition day after day of getting in the Word with the kids. I appreciated the fact that the stories are honest and model good behavior and not fighting and bickering words like too many books do nowadays. There are some real unhappy emotions (such as a brother and sister not agreeing), but the situation is worked through and resolution brought by the parent.

Kids love the stories. January 14, 2013
Reviewer: Mama to 5
We haven't got through the entire book, but so far we are having a great time. I am going through the alphabet one letter each week. The memory verse presented is our memory verse of the week. Both my 7 and 5 year old are engaged in the story because they are also a brother and a sister. Usually a good behavior and a bad behavior are depicted in a short story that is easily understood and applicable to any child. It makes it easy to talk about and also I can usually pull a memory that my children can relate to. I am happy to have short memory verses easily available to me to teach the children. Great book!

Great children's devotional June 14, 2012

Short stories and engaging characters make this book appealing to young children. My boys do find the characters' behavior a little too good to be true sometimes, but they still catch the point of the story. This is book is both effective and easy to use.

One of my favorites! March 17, 2011
Reviewer: Sandwich in Wi from WI United States
This has been each of my children's first introduction to memory verses.  The stories are easy to understand and are applicable to little lives.  There is plenty of built in review, questions for understanding and when you've finished, your child (and YOU) will know 26 Bible verses!  We did one per week, reading the story several days and practicing the verses each day.

Excellent for Bible Training October 8, 2010
Reviewer: Misty Marr from Buckeye, AZ United States
This book is really great for introducing Bible memory to young children.  There is a verse for each letter of the alphabet.  Each verse also has a story that teaches the Biblical principle taught in the verse.  They make great quick devotion times during the day.  THis is not a book for the kids as much as it is for the parents to use with their children.
