Meaningful Composition - A Powerful Writing Program
If you or your child are not keen on tackling the vast scope of Character Quality Language Arts but you fret that he is missing the important writing skills that CQLA addresses, then fret no longer.

Precept-Upon-Precept Approach to Writing
Now families who want to offer their children a rich, in-depth, precept-upon-precept approach to writing can use the new Meaningful Composition by Training For Triumph. With instructions from prewriting (outlining, finding source material, researching, and more) to rough draft writing to revising to final product writing, Meaningful Composition is a compilation of the "writing only" parts of Character Quality Language Arts.

Most Complete Writing Program Available
Using a "directed writing approach," Meaningful Composition tells your child how much to write, what to put in each paragraph, etc., in a step-by-step format. Each book contains two levels so that more advanced students in each level are expected to write more details and complete more revisions than the beginners. Meaningful Composition is not for every child, but for the child who loves to write and for the college–bound, you won't find any more complete program.

Easy Language Arts Program
Meaningful Composition may be used as a stand-alone One Semester writing curriculum or may be combined with a grammar-only program such as Easy Grammar to be used for an entire school year's Language Arts program.

Useful for working independently January 15, 2013

Having a new baby in the house meant that I needed to find a language arts curriculum that would allow my older children to work more independently. Meaningful Composition has filled that purpose for us. The author gives detailed step-by-step instruction in a friendly style. Students are to record their answers directly in the consumable workbook. The answer key in the back is also a huge help to Mom. Often times, the children check their own work. Our only complaint would be the rare occasion when we feel something could be explained a little better. We are working through Level 4 and it is providing some foundational grammar in the first several weeks of assignments.

Definitely gets the job done June 23, 2012

Overall I found this program to be very good. It definitely covers a few different types of writing genres but especially focuses on reports and taking information from other sources. It is VERY line upon line though. I would not recommend this program for a "right brain" student who needs flexibility and freedom to write. This program is very structured and geared more toward a "left brain" student who loves structure and rules to follow. It is also geared toward the independent student who can take the workbook, read it, and do his work, since all the instructions needed are in front of him. The best part of this program is the "checklist challenge" at the end of each assignment. It prompts the student to check and re-do the elements needed to produce an amazing essay! You do not need to be familiar with CQLA to use this program successfully. It is a stand alone program.
