Maask has pulled together what we have all enjoyed about such classics as Concentration and Go Fish into an elegant wooden game that outshines them all. The wooden game board is designed to look like a round golden crown. On this crown you place colorful wood jewel-like dowels and hide them beneath identical hollow yellow wooden cylinders.
Each player then rolls the two six-sided wooden dice and whatever colors the dice show, the player looks for the matching colored jewel under yellow tubes. If you guess correctly you keep the jewel, but it must remain under the masking cylinder. Other players have the option to take jewels off the crown or claim your jewels when they roll the appropriate color. When the crown is empty, the player with the most pieces wins.
No two games play the same and it is not uncommon to see a child who appears to be losing win the game by a landslide. This back-and-forth uncertainty adds to the appeal of the game, while developing the memory part of the brain. Anyone who can match colors can play Maask!

We are very satisfied with our purchase. November 4, 2008

This is a great game for little ones.  I think it would be a little dull for older kids, but I have a three year old who is able to play and another child turning 6 soon, who loves the game.  Really I think children up to grade 2 would probably find it enjoyable, but maybe older kids would, too.  I wouldn't know yet, as my oldest is turning 6.   Thankfully it is not one of those torturous, annoying games for parents to play with their kids.  It is pleasant and doesn't take very long to play.  Kids learn their colors and the concept of same/different (matching), which is great for my 3 year old.  They also exercise their memory skills and a bit of logical reasoning/strategy.  It's a good game.  The best part is that it is made of all wooden pieces, so it isn't going to fall apart any time soon.  The little pieces do tend to wobble and sometimes topple if the game gets bumped.  That has been our only frustration with the game.  We are very satisfied with our purchase.
