Timberdoodle's review Learn more   LightWedge Original Book Lights Since our children began to read, we have had a love/hate relationship with book lights. While they made a trip to Grandma's more pleasant, maintaining the bulbs was not. More nerve-racking than that was the fear that they would inadvertently shine the lights in the rear-view mirror or at another car, temporarily blinding/distracting the driver. After a few hair-raising episodes we had to limit book lights to older children only. Had the LightWedge been available it would have eliminated both issues. Light On The Page, Not In Your Eyes! The LED illumination means no bulbs to burn out. The distortion-free optical-grade acrylic lens spills the light onto the page, not into anyone's eyes. The thin lens sits flat over the page you wish to read, is hefty enough to hold open the pages of many books, and can also double as a bookmark. Weighing just 8.5 ounces, the LightWedge is easy to pack and carry. At 6.75" x 9.25", the LightWedge seems bigger than the typical clip-on book light, but once you start to use it you will be pleased with how much easier it is to manage than the bulkier flashlight on a clip. Great reading light February 18, 2010 Reviewer: Erika Soloj from Wonder Lake, IL United States   I bought the original light wedge for my 10 year old daughter.  We couldn't be happier as it is light weight to take in the car, it's easy for her to hold when reading in bed at night and fits all size books without being too cumbersome.  The light itself is easy on the eyes and not at all distracting to the driver when she uses it in the car.  We considered the paperback size but are glad that we went with the original as the books she reads are of various sizes.  Would highly recommend this product. This has been the best book light October 20, 2009 Reviewer: Jennifer H. from Simi Valley, CA   My husband can read late into the evening and I can sleep. We have had the light for 2 years now and it is still going strong. It is durable with no replacing light bulbs. Each member of our family wish they could have one. Bought for use in the car October 20, 2009 Reviewer: Judi J. from Big Sandy, MT   We live very rurally, so being in the car after dark is not rare.  We were looking for a light the kids could use without blinding us in the front seat, or other drivers on the highway.  We really like the Light Wedge!  The light is strong enough to light up the pages and even the area around the kiddos, but not a beam that can blind others.  The only complaint I have is that in both of the LightWedges we own, there are not 2 levels of brightness,as advertised, just one.  Otherwise, we really like this product and recommend it highly. All Timberdoodle promised it would be! October 20, 2009 Reviewer: Jennifer R. from Concord, NH   This book light is all Timberdoodle promised it would be!  My oldest daughter received one as a gift at age 8.  The first set of batteries lasted a full year, and she has used it every single night to read in bed.  We are so pleased with it we ordered another for our second daughter.  It has been tough enough to survive many trips in her backpack and the occasional drop from the top bunk.  I couldn't be more pleased with the product. We bought six of them! October 8, 2009 Reviewer: Amey P. from Hudson, OH   Our family LOVES the Lightwedge so much we bought six of them!  They are great for reading in car trips without bothering others and for reading in bed while not bothering another family member.  Every time we use them in public, people stop us and ask us about them.  We've sent lots of business to Timberdoodle for this product over the years!  If you buy one, get the case, too to protect your investment.  We've not used the small size because we don't read smaller books.  If I were buying again, I think I would only buy the larger Lightwedge.
