1,320 Parts, 12 Models at Once!
The LaQ Imaginal Zoo, with the ability to build 12 models at once, is one of the largest LaQ kits currently available. The Imaginal Zoo kit includes 1,320 colorful block parts and mini wheels all packaged into a lime-colored plastic container for easy clean-up and storage.

Build a Variety of Animals and More
Instructions are included to create a LaQ Zoo with a variety of animals plus a zoo patrol car. Parts can also be used to create a large, vividly-colored chameleon, or a pair of beautiful macaws. Also included with the LaQ Imaginal Zoo is a reversible playmat which can be used for either the zoo or a town setting.

From the very first catalog in 1985, Timberdoodle has been known for our construction kits. We are a huge proponent of hands-on learning and would rather see a child actively engaged in creating than just about any other educational endeavor. Towards that end we have spent countless hours ferreting out what we consider the best in construction kits.

A Revolutionary Construction Kit
If your children are tired of the ho-hum stacking blocks, they are ready for LaQ. The "Q" in LaQ stands for the Japanese word for sphere, and a sphere is just one of countless shapes that can be made by this revolutionary construction kit. Still relatively new to the USA, LaQ kits include seven very different, very tiny types of blocks in myriad child-pleasing colors that click together to form unlimited models. These seven unique shapes mean that nearly anything your child can envision he can create, from flat designs and three-dimensional simple shapes to complex animals and vehicles, even something practical like a pencil holder.

This set contains a mixed set of 650 basic and joint pieces in all types and assorted (mostly primary) colors, plus eighteen Hamacron parts. These parts are amazing, as they are not just wheels, but you can build on them, converting them to gears and more. Two instruction booklets are included.

LaQ aids in the growth of a child's brain by stimulating the temporal association cortex, parietal association cortex, the cerebellum and motor area. When playing with LaQ, information of color and shapes are sent to the prefrontal area where the brain will decide which steps are necessary to finish creating an object period. Through the examination of a child's brain when playing with LaQ, I have confirmed that the neural network becomes active in both the right- and left-brain. I recommend LaQ as an ideal toy for children. Not only will it aid the cerebral growth, but it is also an enjoyable way for parents to communicate with their children.
