How do you value a toy? We test for 3 things:
1) We prefer hands-on play to electronic games, and realistic figures over fantasy or today's popular trademarked character.
2) If the toy is not a tool, we are not interested. Knowing that our money is as limited as our time we do not want to invest in something that wastes either.
3) We want the toy to do what it claims to do, do it well, and be sturdy enough to hold up to even the most enthusiastic child. Think that's reasonable? You'd be surprised how many toys fail these simple tests!

Duplo quality is truly outstanding. Sets we purchased over 20 years ago, we are now bringing back into service as we provide therapy for autistic children and teens. Surprisingly few pieces have been damaged, despite decades of hard use. The pieces are just as appealing to the children in our current Bible study as they were to our own family 20+ years ago. Dishwasher safe, suitable for hundreds of imaginative situations, Duplos have stood the test of time in our family, I am confident they will in yours also. Yes, they are expensive if you are used to buying short-term toys. However if you, like us, prefer to purchase toys that endure I am sure that you will find Duplos to be a great value.
