Timberdoodle's review Learn more

This sequel to My First Book of Mazes is designed to further enhance childrens motor skills and reasoning. Once children experience and master the easier maze patterns of the first book, they will be able to advance to the more intricate patterns of this workbook. This increased level of difficulty will refine children's motor skills and further sharpen their reasoning and critical thinking skills. Ages 4-6.

About Mazes:
What child doesn't love the challenge of mazes? Mazes allow your child the opportunity to practice basic pencil control in an enjoyable, exciting way. These pencil skills are necessary for the legible writing of letters and numbers. Plus because mazes are naturally absorbing they help your child acquire the ability to reason, interpret, understand and concentrate. These elemental skills are some of the bedrock essentials for later academics.

Another outstanding component of Timberdoodle's 2016 Kindergarten Curriculum Kit!

Fun addition to the day November 10, 2015
Reviewer: Brandi
My daughter loves doing these mazes. She begs to do more and she's flying through it. Some mazes look more like maps and some are more abstract geometrical shapes, so I like that there's a variety in the complexity. It gave a tip at the beginning to have your child first solve the maze by tracing their finger and then after that write on the page with a pencil. This has helped her a lot to quickly problem solve the puzzle without being too discouraged with erase marks or pencil lines everywhere. Love this book and will buy more when she's finished flying through this one!

Beautiful and Well-Made September 15, 2015
Reviewer: Beth W.
This is a great book of mazes, ranging from not-so-hard to pretty difficult. My five year old loves mazes, and this is something she is really enjoying getting to work with as part of her school day. The pages are so heavy and the full-color illustrations make this visually interesting, rather than the standard old black and white maze books. My only wish is that the pages were perforated so I could tear out one at a time for her, but this is something that is easily fixed with a visit to our local copy shop and their heavy duty paper cutter.

Nothing compares to these in our opioion! July 25, 2015

Before using Timberdoodle we had used the beginning tracer books that Kumon publishes and instantly fell in love. When I saw that this was a part of the kindergarten package it was a no brainer. Sure enough, the same kiddo couldn't wait and in two days is half way through, that's with me pacing him! This book is sure to please, it has so many colorful, pleasant pictures and progressively gets harder as they work through the book. Our little guy, who is 3, was so enthralled with big brother mazing through the book that we knew we had to go out this morning and buy him the beginner one too. I'm sad to say that the 3 year old has almost finished the book, in hours, and we will need to purchase the next one in line :) When a book helps a little boy sit still AND have fun, you can be sure it's beyond good!

nice heavy pages January 14, 2013
Reviewer: Janice
When my son was small, he had an extremely lazy eye(20/200), and poor fine motor skills. We discovered that he enjoyed the challenge of mazes, and tried this book. It was extremely well made with thick pages, and took lots of abuse. I liked that the mazes were fairly large and therefore easier to see. There was a good mix of difficult and easy, so he was able to choose what he felt up to on any particular day. This was one of the activities we took on errands such as Dr.s offices that required quiet activities in small spaces. By trying to stay in the lines, it helped his motor skills tremendously, without doing a (what he would consider)tedeous workbook.
