Timberdoodle's review

Winner of the 2012 Best New Puzzle Award by Games Magazine, IQ Twist
Place the colored pegs on the game board, then arrange the matching colored pieces so that all fit within the confines of the box. Sounds easy until you try! The colored pegs in IQ Twist give it a huge advantage over similar, but peg-less games. Because the pegs remain in position, every time you need to start all over--and you will, often--you can do so without having to look back at the challenge booklet. Your nerves will thank you for that benefit many times over.

Pocket-Sized Mental Workout for Ages Six to Adult
The IQ-Twist booklet has 100 challenges, each one having just one solution. Thankfully solutions are included. Plus, all the IQ-Twist components fit nicely into a small, attractive case, for storage or for travel. IQ-Twist is a great logic game for ages six to adult.

  • Put all the twisted playing pieces on the game board.
  • Some of the parts of the playing pieces feature holes, some don't. You can only put a playing piece over a peg if both are the same color, and only if there is a hole in the playing piece in that exact place.

Fun, but don't lose those pegs! April 20, 2014
    Reviewer: Tricia
I got this for my 6-year-old for a long car trip last summer. The spatial reasoning was a bit too advanced for her to get very far at that point, but she enjoyed playing with it anyway. And so did I! It got me all the way across Nevada without going crazy. However, I wish we could get replacement pegs. We lost one of the pegs after a few months, and now we can't do any of the puzzles that have two pegs of that color.

My son 11 year old son got this for Christmas and has had tons of fun with it. Several of the adults in the family played it and the other IQ games on New Years. This game is worth the money!

Fun and brain boosting January 14, 2013
    Reviewer: scrapbooking mom
We bought this for my 10 year old son for Christmas. He figured out how to play it very quickly and loves it. He enjoys the challenge and has completed many of them. I love that he is using thinking skills while mastering it. The materials are of good construction and it's small enough that it can go anywhere with you.

"my brain hurts" May 31, 2012
    Reviewer: spacemonkey1138
I bought this for my 14 y.o. and 12 y.o. My 14 y.o. son is up to the highest level in just 3 days, but says he believes it has good replay value. He stated that it made his brain hurt. My daughter is a bit of a perfectionist and finds the game more frustrating, but that's a personality issue. The game is colorful and the rules are simple enough for anyone to pick up and play. I dislike games with complicated rules, so I took a crack at this too and find it satisfying. The pieces have a good feel to them. The box clicks shut tightly and it is small, so it is decent for travel. Great for anyone who wants an inexpensive way to 'stay sharp'.
