Great for the self learner! May 31, 2012
Reviewer: LA HS Mom of 3
My 12 year old daughter is really loving this book. She has taken art classes since she was 5 but is now getting to a point that she just needs to discover who she is as an artist and not have someone telling her what to create. She loves how you get to practice by using the pages in the back of the book. She said that this allows her to try the techniques a few times before moving to the front and using the technique that she likes best. She also said that she likes that the she can easily bring the book and a pencil with her where ever she goes and doesn't have to worry about carrying an extra sketch book.

A good introduction to Art. November 8, 2010
Reviewer: Misty Marr from Buckeye, AZ United States
How Great Thou Art Book 1 is a good introduction to Art. It is broken up into individual lessons that are easy to teach, easy to understand, and easy to finish in one setting.  I like that the book can be copied and used for multiple children.  The book does seem to be poorly printed, giving the inside pages the look of a cheap copy.  But, if you can get past that, there is a ton of good learning here.  This will help you or your older child develop a good art foundation. As a plus, it only requires a minimal supplies.

Great for all children February 25, 2010
Reviewer: Dianne from Senatobia MS
These programs (How Great thou Art, Little Lambs, Feed my Sheep) are great for all children, those who are interested and those who just need a little more information in getting started. I would highly recommend 'How Great thou Art' to any child with a natural talent and desire in the artistic area. Our daughter used all three of these through out her education and went to college as an Art major and told me that she had learned more than most, from the use of these books. She has now returned to Timberdoodle to see what they offer in Art Programs and supplies, not for her children, but for her private use.
