Timberdoodle's review

Although most home education occurs in the early elementary ages, more and more diehards, like us, never send their children to school, ever. And so the question arises, what happens when our children graduate?

As parents of older girls, we are keenly aware of some of the prevailing attitudes in society, the church, and even extended family, and we are none too thrilled about the ungodly peer pressure that we and our daughters are beginning to experience. But listen to this quote from Jennifer Lamp as she discusses this critical age group. Satan has tried to cause us to think that we are insignificant during this time in our lives, that we cannot really do anything effective for the Lord until we arrive at a "real" life, being an adult, being married, having children, etc. Until then we tend to think that this is kind of our own time, and we can easily lose sight of the exciting possibilities that we have right in front of us?. Nothing would delight him (satan) more than for us to spend it frivolously for that which does not count. Wow, and that is just the first chapter!

Young and still single when this book was written, if you have purchased Signs For His Glory you know Jennifer Lamp. In His Chosen Bride Jennifer will lead your daughters through the attributes of the Proverbs 31 woman, challenging single women to live out these qualities unto the Lord as their Husband.

Practical, thought provoking, and timely, this is a book that every teen girl should have access to. You won't agree with everything Jennifer shares-- that is an honor only the Bible deserves-- but you will be thrilled to have such a God-honoring book to place in your daughter's hands. With stimulating questions at the close of each chapter, His Chosen Bride lends itself well to a mother/daughter or even a group study.
