Gowi Pyramid 9 Piece Pile Up
Stacking or nesting cups are such a classic baby toy that the market is flooded with them. While inexpensive, they are fun, educational, and will have play value for many years. So how did we choose Gowi's Pyramid Pile Up Stacking Cups? We had multiple criteria when searching for the right stacking set to add to our Homeschool Baby Curriculum.

Nine Stacking Cups
First, it had to have a generous number of cups. Because your child will be using these cups for stacking and nesting activities, as well as for an introduction to size recognition, the more cups, the better. The Gowi Pyramid Pile Up Stacking Cups set contains an impressive nine-cups!

Teach Colors & Common Words
Secondly, we were looking for cups with one solid color on the inside, but whose outside would have motifs with child appeal, in order to introduce the vocabulary of colors and common words to babies. The Gowi Pyramid 9 Piece Pile Up Stacking Cups are brilliantly colored with delightful images on the outside and solid colors within.

Perfect Baby Toy for Water Play
Thirdly, while we were insistent on stacking cups that could hold water to enhance play value, we had to grudgingly admit that holey cups had unique charms of their own. So we were thrilled to find that two of the nine cups in Gowi's Pyramid Pile Up set have holes in their bottoms, adding another layer of charm.

Incredibly Durable And finally, because we knew that these cups would see rigorous daily use, we were adamant that the cups be built to last. The Gowi Pyramid Pile Up Stacking Cups are imported from Austria and are made out of strong and sturdy, PVC-free plastic. Particularly renowned for creating spectacular, high-quality toys, Gowi has been in the business for over 100 years!

Largest Cup Doubles As A Pail
Gowi's Pile Up Stacking Cups set includes nine durable cups, with the largest doubling as a mini-pail, complete with a secure handle.

9 Stacking and Nesting Cups stand 19.75" Tall

Gowi Stacking Cups Review January 10, 2012
Reviewer: Heidi from Timberdoodle's Blogger Review Team
From the moment this item came out of the box it was being used.  It was equally as fun for my two and five year olds.  The toy naturally encouraged cooperative play between the older kids and the baby.  They would build for Logan and he would knock it down.

Other things I loved:
Handle on the largest cup for carrying seemed well secured
Colors & designs were bold without being overwhelming
Built in control of error in stacking and nesting the cups
Simple and classic

Downsides:
We lost the smallest cup in the first week- it was a little too small in my opinion
The cups were very sturdy but they were plastic (a staying power problem for some items).

The greatest stacking pyramid October 3, 2011
Reviewer: KAMiller from Rockford, IL United States
With five kids we have had lots of baby toys, and lots of stacking towers.  This one is a cut above the rest.  Of course they nest and stack nicely.  There is a handle on the biggest piece, which makes it fun to carry and easy to store.  Also, my kids like that there are so many little cups to play with, from the wee little to the largest at about 1/3 the size of a standard sandbox bucket.

This would make a nice open-ended gift for children 1-4 or maybe even a bit older.  My almost 5 year old likes to use  the stacking cups with her timberdoodle tweezers and some pom poms to play sorting and counting games.
