God's Mighty Acts in Salvation
I am particularly excited about Mighty Acts in Salvation, a profound walk-through of the book of Galatians geared especially for your preteens. The core truths of the gospel are in this letter to the Galatians, and Mighty Acts in Salvation does an excellent job of helping your child unpack not only what is revealed there, but also how to live life in light of those truths.

Justification, Old and New Covenants...
Not just the gospel but also justification by faith alone, the priority of Scripture, the requirements for apostleship, and the relationship between the old and new covenants are explored. Sounds heavy, I know, but each selection is only a couple of pages long, and the style of writing is quite engaging.

About the God's Mighty Acts... Series:
I am very excited about this new set of devotionals by Starr Meade. Starr's books unfailingly cause a child to think deeply about the works of God. And unlike simplistic, feel-good-about-yourself devotions, Starr never glosses over how repulsive is our sin, and how great is God's grace.

All Ages Benefit
In both books the daily reading points to the gospel, and includes a key verse, thought-provoking questions, and family friendly activities. While it is entirely appropriate for your preteens to use these books on their own, we strongly urge you to use Mighty Acts in Salvation and Mighty Acts in Creation as part of your family devotion time. All ages will benefit from a deeper look at these life-changing truths.

Forty interactive readings for children ages 8ű12

Excellent family devotion January 14, 2013
Reviewer: Michigan Mama
I appreciate this book very much. The author's style is very clear, so that even young children can handle the topics. Many other devotional books suitable for younger children don't deal with deeper issues like this one does. It's mostly about the book of Galatians, and presents basically that entire book of the Bible in a kid-friendly way. That said, it is not strictly a "kid" book. Older children and even teenagers can get a lot out of it. We use it for family devotions, and my teens have not complained yet! So far, my favorite lesson was entitled "Rules for Hurting Someone's Feelings", (because sometimes you need to say something that might hurt). Very helpful!

an amazing devotional August 22, 2011
Reviewer: Rebecca Kvenvolden from Federal Way, WA United States
Starr Meade is my new favorite devotional/bible curriculum writer.  I love how scripture is strictly adhered to,  and actually USED, and not just a snippet.  Doctrine is spot on.  This is good stuff. I highly recommend "God's Mighty Acts in Salvation" to the family who wants to honor God in their devotions.

Family Devotional January 7, 2011
Reviewer: Jennifer Young from Oklahoma City, OK United States
We purchased this for Christmas and have been using it for a family devotional.  We LOVED the author's book "Keeping Holiday" and thought we would give this a try.  The kids really seem to be enjoying it and I like how every lesson has you looking up scriptures.  It gives the parents and kids the chance to get into the Word.  So many devotionals have the scripture already printed on the page and you never have to actually look anything up.  As a parent there is nothing better than having my family sitting around, each one with their bible, and digging into the Word of God!
