Properly charged, Krypton's radioactive green glows for many hours. Ion's icy blue, Amber's exotic yellow, and Aura's radiant violet glows last just an hour or two but are striking at night. Work Your Hands - Work Your Brain When one of our children was a preschooler, we received the best advice a parent of a kinesthetic child could receive: Let her wiggle. And wiggle she did. I don't think she sat for schoolwork for many years. But sometimes pirouettes and somersaults can be a distraction to other children, especially if you are dealing with a mixed bag of modalities. The visual students in particular will go bonkers trying to be attentive in the presence of a human pogo stick. However the kinesthetic child can't be attentive without movement. The Heat Sensitive versions will change colors with the warmth of your hands while the Color Shifting putties will maintain their individual colors no matter how many times they are kneaded. And the Glow-in-the-Dark versions? Well, that's what they do, but for varying lengths of time, depending on the color. Stress-relieving, hand exercising Thinking Putty Thinking Putty is an impressive adult-sized handful of high quality moldable putty. Not just for wiggly children, Thinking Putty is also a stress-relieving, soothing slab of super-smooth elastic putty for tense office workers and impatient computer geeks. It also can be used as a hand exercise for guitar players or therapy for arthritic hands. Each tin arrives with an adult-sized one-fifth of a pound of Thinking Putty and a label that says Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty. They offered to put our names on the label instead, at nearly twice the price, but we decided that we would let Aaron be the crazy one! We offer twelve mesmerizing versions of thinking putty. Each tin contains enough putty for a couple of children to use at the same time.   Features Shadow Photography You can lay an item on top of Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty and record the shadow it leaves behind. It's called a photogram (aka: shadow photography) and unlike a photograph where a distant image is focused onto film, in a photogram, the object is placed directly onto the light sensitive material. Of course Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty also bounces, stretches, distorts, and can be rolled into three dimensional shapes! You can create our own photograms using a standard room light or flashlight. Start out with the light source turned off and the Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty in an "uncharged" state. Just like working regular photography you don't want to "expose" your film prematurely, so you need to keep it in semi-darkness. Stretch out your Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty into a flat sheet. Place some keys, paperclips, pens, or other small items onto the Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty. Now activate your light source and aim it towards the Glow in the Dark Thinking Putty. Turn off the light source and remove the items. You'll see the impression left behind! We can stretch, shape, and distort our image to produce cool effects and have fun! Now, let's take the trick to the next level. If you have access to a laser or inkjet printer you can take images off the computer and print them onto a transparency (be sure to use the correct type of transparency in your printer!!). Doesn't make the mess that playdough can August 14, 2009 Reviewer: Jessica H. from Ellensburg, WA   We bought 4 different colors of thinking putty for our six young children to share.  They LOVE it!  The colors are beautiful and the putty does so many different things depending on how you work with it.  I am amazed at how long they are quiet while they play with the putty!  I also love that it doesn't make the mess that playdough can. My 12 year old hasn't stopped playing with this! April 29, 2009 Reviewer: Thinking Putty   I have one very happy 12 year old boy who has not stopped playing with his Thinking Putty since he received on Saturday night – he is positive that the putty will contribute to his intelligence, not to mention his hand and arm strength. Great hands on February 20, 2009 Reviewer: Anonymous person from Eufaula, AL United States   We got this for children to stay occupied during read-a-louds but they really like playing with it all during the day and esp. in the car.
