This story was very interesting.  It is hard to imagine such depravity of mankind.  Prisoners were forced into life as a gladiator, which usually ended in death.  It was  amazing to see that even wealthy young men willing made themselves gladiators just for the thrill, even though they were no longer free men once they entered gladiator school.  They had no option to leave.  Life either ended in death or fame.  They were willing to take the great risk!  My problem with the book was the dress of the female gladiators.  Also, obviously there a lot of blood and gore.

I'm so glad I took the plunge and ordered it July 29, 2009

...I bought the historical graphic novels as a way to get my middle schooler into reading something somewhat educational. =D  I didn't hand them to him, I told him they were mine.  He could read the Tintin, but I was going to read these historical ones first.  Muhahahaha.  Of course, he started sneaking them....and enjoying them.... =D =D

So anyway, we've been having just a delightful time with the shipment of books.  I'm so very impressed with your company.  The confirmation email came immediately, the books were shipped out very quickly, and arrived in absolutely excellent condition.   Thank you so very much.
