Erector Build & Play: Mechanical Bucket 2
Erector Mechanical 2 has over 120 plastic Erector pieces with instructions to make five models, with five bonus models pictured for inspiration. This set will introduce your child to chunky cogs, and gears. It is stored in bright orange plastic toolbox, which has three compartments with two removable sides. Not all models can be built at the same time.

About Erector (Also known as Meccano) sets:
Over ninety years ago, children in England were first introduced to Erector/Meccano sets and the ability to build realistic models. Multiple generations later, many children have grown complacent in their play and have lost the ability to engage in productive open-ended play. As parents you can help your children retain the capacity to create by providing them with innovative construction sets that encourage children to develop skills that ready-made toys cannot.

You know that any construction set will polish your child's fine–motor skills, visual discrimination and perception skills, and sequencing skills. What these Erector construction sets will give you is the opportunity to do it sooner. The new Easy Build sets, with their many soft, flexible pieces, provide everything a tiny mechanical engineer needs. The multicolored, chunky pieces are attractive to children and fit together well.

But the projects are much more difficult for them than mere building blocks, and that is exactly what a teaching parent should be looking for. From matching the correct pieces to the colorful exploded diagrams, to tightening the nuts with a screwdriver, each model demands attention to details. The sooner a child notices the importance of the minutiae, the more successful the whole educational process will be. And Erector's Easy Build sets have a built–in reward system, when the child explicitly follows the directions; the result is a large model rugged enough to play with.

Recommended for ages five and older, the kits will be a challenge for every child, but not beyond the child's ability. Each kit can be upgraded with the next as your child becomes more confident in building and constructing models. Includes all necessary tools, nuts, bolts, and washers as well as traditional Erector–style pieces with pre-drilled holes in them.
