Phenomenal Scope & Sequence
The scope and sequence of this program is phenomenal. Using just 18 blocks your children will experiment with construction, geometry, logical analysis, perspectives, design, and spatial logic. The spiral-bound book is systematic in its presentation, with multiple levels and escalating complexities. Spatial proficiencies are vital for everyone, but today's sedentary children often lack a natural way to develop this ability. This set provides an enjoyable and successful approach to making sure your child acquires these essential skills.

It Starts with Fine Motor Skills
Canadian Toy Testing Council awarded Equilibrio their 2006 Best Bet Award, and for good reason. Using 18 sturdy, precisely cut, solid plastic blocks, your children build the structures illustrated. Each successive structure is more complex to build and more difficult to balance, requiring the use of fine motor skills, creativity and perseverance.

Easy Enough for a 4-year-old, Challenging Enough for an Adult
As an educational bonus, while accomplishing these tasks, children will subconsciously be experimenting with basic concepts of geometry and balance. While the beginning pages may be easy enough for a 4-year-old, the more difficult pages will challenge any adult. This is the beginning set in the series.

Expandable with 2 Additional Books
Equilibrio Set includes 18 precision-cut blocks and a challenge book with 60 designs in increasing difficulty. Two add-on books are also available to build on what you're learning with the Equilibrio. Architecto focuses on translating 2D into 3D designs, while Cliko emphasizes perspective, depth, and geometric forms. Timberdoodle also offers a complete bundle including the blocks and all three books!

I thought it was a September 25, 2014
Reviewer: Sarah E.
I thought it was a larger set than it was so was disappointed to find it contained only a few blocks. TD reply: Sarah, we are so sorry that the number of blocks in the Equilibrio Set was a disappointment to you. Since Equilibrio is not a traditional block set (in which case 18 blocks would be skimpy) but a specialized logic tool, you will find the 18 blocks included more than adequate to build your student's brain. Hopefully the large number of designs to build with Equilibrio and the skills strengthened by using it will soon have you delighted! As always, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! the Timberdoodle Team

I start them using this set in K and use it to break up their time in the workbooks. They all love it when I get this set out for a challenge.

Super Fun and challenging July 2, 2014
Reviewer: Linda
It is a great game! When you first look at the puzzles you think they will be super easy to build, But don't let that fool you! These take a lot of concentration and strategy to do. One thing that I thought was really cool was the fact that the different levels are clearly stated so that you will know witch ones are good for 1st graders and which one are good for older kids.

So much fun! and the kids like it, too! :) May 31, 2014
Reviewer: Kristina W.
This is a game that just gets more and more fun. You can play all by yourself, or take turns with a friend, and as the levels become harder and harder, it becomes more and more rewarding to finally have that last piece stay in place! This is a fun game for all ages. The blocks are great alone for small hands, and even my kindergartener likes trying to make the pictures from the book. I also purchased the extra books that go with, but in the year that we have owned the game, we haven't gotten to them yet.
