Twice the Challenge--Twice the Fun
The classic game Shut the Box dates back to the 18th century. While not nearly that old, as a teen I remember this game was a guaranteed icebreaker whether we were entertaining Air Force officers in California or citizens of Iran. Now, one of our favorite companies has taken this classic game and added a twist that makes it twice as fun to play, and even more educational. Double Shutter is an irresistible game that will hone any child's basic addition and subtraction skills. Roll two dice, add the dots, and find the best combination of numbers to flip down the hinged tiles. Initially children will zero in on just the rolled numbers, but it won't take too long before they are ingeniously rolling a twelve and flipping down a one, two, three, and a six. You keep rolling the dice until you can no long flip tiles. What remain are your points; the person with the fewest points wins. Because the box is self-contained and deep enough for rolling dice, you'll find that Double Shutter is a handy math game to take on the road. Double Shutter is for one to six players and for any child who can count.
This game will always stay open with its challenging game play and attractive colorful design. Roll two dice, add the dots and find the best combination of numbers to shut two rows of nine tiles. Very few can shut all the tiles and close the super box. Even less can stop playing this addicting game, so always remember to play in moderation!
