How cool is this? Your opponent builds and you, using a catapult, pendulum, or ramp, annihilate. No blood, no guts, but lots of design and demolition practice. This is educational? Absolutely!

It's not just about destruction - strategy and skill are necessary. Each creation is planned around an established criterion. As your child plays, he begins to see patterns of design weakness and sets about to create a tower that is better-suited to withstand his opponent's assaults. The aggressor also discovers drawbacks in his attack procedures and develops necessary fine-motor skills while grasping the importance of weaponry position.

Heirloom-quality, Destruct 3 is made from beautiful, sustainable rubber-tree wood and is built to withstand any punishment your family can dish out. It has "boy" written all over it, but let me tell you, this mom found it an ideal way to release pent-up stress, and what home educating mom does not have stress? So clear the table and let the one who loses do the dishes! Awarded Toy of the Year by Creative Child Magazine. Destruct 3 arrives in a compact, hinged hardwood box and is for two to four players.

Lots of fun, and a good company, too April 30, 2009
Reviewer: J. Lee from Vero Beach, FL United States
I had to think long and hard before deciding to get this game for my 8-year-old for Christmas, because we have a dog with a strong chewing need who loves wood and plastic.  I purchased it anyway, because it looked like something my construction-oriented son would love, and I was right.  The pieces are a pleasure to handle , as they are so smooth and well-fashioned, and all the boys in the family enjoyed playing with the game.  Then the unthinkable happened:  a sibling left the game open on the floor, and the dog absconded with the little catapult, which happened to be my son's favorite piece.  However, I found the company website, and they were able to replace the missing piece, so I have to say, good game, good company!

Fantastic Combo of Fun & Strategy! February 19, 2009
Reviewer: C. Seibert from Cherokee, AL United States
We purchased this game over a year ago and are still having loads of fun with it!  Our oldest children are boys (12, 9, & 6) and this activity gives them a healthy and safe environment to practice their natural abilities to build and destroy (while keeping the rest of the house intact!).  Actually, I have to admit that I as a Mom even enjoy this game!  Easy to learn and easy to play.  You never end up playing the same game twice.  I also LOVE the fact that the entire game can be so easily stored inside it's hard wooden case (that serves as the base to the gameboard also).  No worries about broken cardboard boxes with this game!
ALL ages can participate here, with the only concern being that there are small pieces that could pose a choking hazard to young children.  Other than that, I would encourage each member of the family to give it a try.
I consider this to be an "heirloom" quality toy/game to be enjoyed over and over.
