Timberdoodle's review Learn more
Davy Crockett led a life of adventure and tragedy before taking his memorable last stand in the final 90 minute battle of Alamo. Graphic novels are a great way to deliver a slice history to those children reluctant to pick up a more intimidating volume.

For those of you who are concerned with such issues:
There is a typo/misspelling on page 15. The misspelled word is "dammed" but it has been spelled "damned". The publisher is aware of this and will be correcting it in the next printing. However, since it will be some time before it is reprinted, we feel the information contained in this title is worth making it available now!

About Graphic Biographies: Graphic biographies will give your children a snapshot of just how intriguing history can be. With attention-grabbing pictures and concise dialogue, even the most reluctant readers will find themselves captivated. These very visual forms of history will not only teach your children about different historical figures, they will also be instrumental in developing their necessary inference skills. And because of their great appeal, graphic books can also reacquaint your children, young and old alike, with the delights of reading for enjoyment as well as for education.
