Timberdoodle's review
Here is a great way to introduce your child to Cuisenaire Rods. It uses a simple two-page format for each letter of the alphabet. The left-hand page shows an outline of a letter with instructions to cover it in different ways, using the rods. Objects whose names begin with the corresponding letter are on the right-hand side, and these are also to be covered with rods. There are questions that involve counting, spatial relationships, addition sentences, early multiplication and problem solving.

Recommended for ages 5-9 but we think it could easily be used with younger children.
Includes teacher suggestions and Answer Guide.

The Cuisenaire Alphabet Book has been great! November 5, 2008
Reviewer: Cherri M. from Redmond, WA
The Cuisenaire Alphabet Book has been great for me and Kendall.  She has loved using the rods to create the alphabet letters and the simple drawings on the pages.  She has a great sense of accomplishment when she has used the correct rods to cover the pictures!

Almost all you need to teach kindergarten October 17, 2008

Get this and the rods and you have almost all you need to teach kindergarten. We work through a letter a week, doing the corresponding phonics and handwriting.  High quality 3Rs for a very low price.

Cuisenaire Alphabet Book, and Cuisenaire Rods October 17, 2008
Reviewer: Amy J. from Austin, TX
All of my children have eagerly used the Alphabet book, and the rods are in constant use- so much so that we have lost some units. I purchased a second set so we'd have plenty to go around.
