This is the final year of high school work. Calculus, world history, economics, and a medical investigation course are all included. Literature completes the four-year sequence, writing continues with advanced composition, and thinking skills include formal logic in both kits and philosophy in the classic kit.STEM includes game programming and a full engine build, with projects that require planning, persistence, and attention to detail. The kit also includes interview skills preparation and the Timberdoodle High School Planner to help organize transcripts and next steps after graduation.

We asked the families who used our 12th grade kit how long their students spent on "school." Most of the families worked on academics 4 or 5 days a week and spent 3-5 hours a day specifically on Timberdoodle materials. It is common for families to spend more or less time than that, so don't stress if your schedule doesn't exactly match up. And, of course, the time you spend will be greatly impacted by how in-depth your student takes their studies, their learning approach, how distractible they allow themselves to be, and much more.

Started during the pandemic and wrapping 4+ years of world schooling

Our 12th grader was shot into online high school during the pandemic, which was a huge shock to the whole family and with that change we decided to go full world schooling, which has been a blessing. The online curriculum schedule guide, which is customizable has been a great way to keep all of us on track. We never thought we’d go this route, but with a customizable curriculum we have been able to help our two sons move through their education, while experiencing the world.

I appreciate that each year every Timberdoodle Curriculum Kit gets thorough consideration for updates and changes. We are very excited to order and use this year's complete 12th grade kit, especially with the inclusion of the Notgrass Company's Exploring World History curriculum. From experience, every Notgrass resource we've used has been incredibly easy to schedule and use but rich and rewarding to study. We travel for speech and debate tournaments and have to adapt our schedule depending on the season and how much travel is involved. The way Timberdoodle kits are set up is so flexible, it takes the work out of juggling our time. And I know Notgrass history resources flow right in with that philosophy.
